A clean, quiet and well-maintained place to camp in Waco. The concrete pad sites are level, with nice picnic tables and grills, fantastic shade trees and ample spacing between sites. We enjoyed easy access to the boat ramp and great paddling on the lake. Midway's staff was helpful and host campers were friendly. The downtown convention center is just 15 minutes away. We also visited nearby local attractions, Mammoth National Monument and the Magnolia Silos. Lacy Point trail access on Lake Waco is excellent for hiking and biking. The Waco Wetlands also has excellent trails. We visit Waco ever year for a weeklong convention and will always stay at Midway!

Place is not very well kept up. Leaves and sticks/limbs everywhere. Multiple fire ant mounds in the area around the picnic table. It's just a shame that the campgrounds around Lake Waco are in such poor condition. Over half of the available sites are no longer open and things are either abandoned or in a state of disrepair.

This was not the first time we have stayed at Midway, and not likely the last. We stayed in site 22 this time with FHU which is more inside the park with much less road noise. The staff as always is so friendly and helpful. Waco lake is awesome with stunning sunsets. If you are in the mood for pizza, we suggest SLO Rise. Their pizza is authentic and they have two locations in and around Waco.

Jan was very helpful as we are new to using COE campgrounds. She was a wealth of information and so welcoming. The park is in a nice setting for viewing lake and taking walks. Great location to enjoy the sites in Waco. The ladies bathroom needs more attention. We spent five days here and enjoyed it. Nice and quiet within the park.

Great place to camp, feel like you are away from it all but still close to town if that's your thing.

Great experience only thing that would make it better is if the bathrooms were updated

We camped there in our popup camper for 4 days. There was only one bathroom area at the campground area. The first day, I noticed that the bathroom shower was running continuously because the handle was broken. Also, two of the 3 toilets were out of service. I notified the people at check in and they said they would put in a work order for it. The men's room also had only one working toilet. By day 3, the men's room had no working toilets. Of the 4 days we camped there, neither the men or the women's bathroom were repaired or cleaned. On a better note, there were some great places to ride bikes

Never got there. Cancelled my reservations three weeks in advance and still waiting for a refund.

Much nicer than it has been. Must have new park hosts because the area by check in is best and tidy. The ones before under the big roof looked like hillbillies running a flea market. Nothing was kept up and the sites full of leaves. Vans in the fire pits overall a MESS This time the sites had been raked! Washed clean and the entire area much cleaner!

This is a great place to stay when visiting Waco. You have easy access to everything in Waco. The sites are nice and easy to access.
