We were there with several friends for 4 days. It was a great time, and the park host was very supportive. The gatehouse was not manned - I suppose due to the Federal shutdown.The weather was good and the grass had been cut. However, the entire area was covered with sandburs/goatheads which stuck into the soles of our shoes and the paws of our dogs. just keeping the floor of the motorhome free of those painful stickers was a tough job. They were the worst we have ever seen at any of the Waco Lake campgrounds.

We love the Airport campground. We like to visit the walking trails in Waco. We visited Portofino for the absolutely BEST pizza. Campground is easy to get to.My only recommendation is the bathroom facilities in the loop we stay needed attention.

We had a great time!! Had the most amazing view to the lake. The hike along the lake was amazing. We noticed that any rv space is a good one.

Airport Park is an excellent site. Lots of room between RV. Extremely well cared for. Just beautiful.

Park is starting to really shape after reopening after the flood several years ago. Had a great time there. sites clean, views of the lake were awesome

Class C motorcoach in Site 61 (full hookup). Two night stay over weekend 5-7 Feb 2021. Nice shaded site in the farthest RV loop from the gate house. Deep paved back in driveway...plenty of room for Class C and can easily accommodate 2 cars single file. Site 61 driveway is not level...inclines from roadway. Be ready to easily level your rig upon entry. Great site overall with nice spacing from other sites; fire pit, bbq, and picnic table on concrete pad...surrounded by nicely raked decomposed granite all around. Clean and litter free site...perfect 'leave no trace' camping experience. Great view of lake. Close to airport, but very little aircraft traffic/noise. Restroom/shower facility within 200 yards...not too close and not too far. Clean and well stocked. Be sure to visit nearby Cameron Park along the Bosque and Brazos Rivers. Came to experience the 20 miles of bike and hike trails for the first time...did not disappoint. Not crowded even for a Sat visit. Great park and great trails. Park hosts are friendly and helpful. Great camping experience; on my list for return spring and summer stops in the Waco TX area.

Great views! Huge sites, plenty of room for social distancing. Super nice hosts. Only issue for us were all the sticker burs when walking the dogs.We look forward to going back soon!

We enjoyed an excellent value at Airport COE with a full hook-up site at around $15/night (with America the Beautiful Golden Pass). The site was concrete and more than large enough for our 36' motorhome and Jeep toad. Great views of Lake Waco and several families of deer in the park woods. As the name suggests, the park is adjacent to the airport. So, we had the sound of airplanes come over once or twice/hour, but quiet at night. The only real downside was our site had a moderate slope, requiring manual leveling. But, that was a small price to pay for the overall value.
