We enjoyed 5 wonderful fall days at the campground. It was so relaxing. We did all the tourist places, and relaxed with a fire and watching football on our outside tv...it was a beautiful place.

The amount of plane traffic makes this park live up to its name. From sunup until night, a constant sound of training planes makes this park not very relaxing. The sites are spacious and all overlook the lake, but between the fire ant mounds and the debris from previous flooding, it makes walking treacherous at best.

Beautiful campground, very friendly staff at the front check in gate. Always greeted with a smile and warm Texas welcome. Highly recommend to anyone!

Beautiful location with water views and/or waterfront. Centrally located in Waco Tx. Very convenient and easy to reserve. Only negative was there was no hot water in the shower. We would definitely stay here again.

we like to stay here. It is a nice COE park and pretty well designed. Most sites are easy to back in and use. Just make sure they fit your rig. Some back in sites close to the water are on a slope. Not many full hookups. Price is great if you have the Interagency Pass for National Parks as it gives 50% discount. The electric service is good. We had decent AT&T and Verizon service. TV reception is good. Nice sunrise and sunsets with lake nearby. The far south campground gets a little airplane noise from nearby Waco airport.

The park host was amazing working with us during the winter storm. They do an excellent job maintaining the park. Always clean and well kept

Spacious, clean and well maintained full hookup camping sites. Friendly staff, including the volunteer group who are doing an exceptional job clearing dead/down trees and vines. Park is close to great shopping (read 'Magnolia') and restaurants/bars in Waco.

Made a 9 day reservation through recreation.com. Had a great rv site with full hookups. Had great Verizon cell service. All rv sites are very close to the lake. I will definitely stay here again. I have a lifetime national park pass that allowed me to stay here for $15 per night.
