The location is very nice. But if you have a pet then beware. The location is completely filled with stickers. We spent most of our time picking them out of our dogs feet and body hair. We could not go walking and had to keep her inside except when she had to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately we will never go back. Just not worth it.

Tyler, the employee who worked the main gate, was not only super pleasant but very informative.

This was my FIRST time camping. The lady at the check in point was super. She took the time to not only check me in but to help me get through the paperwork to get the Senior Lifetime Pass.

We spent four days at Airport Park. For starters the gate staff were very friendly, informative and helpful. It is a beautiful setting with great views over the lake. There are nice large shade trees that help protect from the sun. We were in a back-in site (27) on the shore of the lake. The sites are very large with lots of room to spread out and work around the RV without getting into your neighbor's space. The pads are blacktop but be aware that they slope down toward the lake. My leveling tools were stretched to the limit to obtain a level position. Bath houses are quite rustic so best to plan on using your self-contained facilities, if available. Overall the experience was very positive and we would stay here again when overnighting or visiting the area.

The women who work at the gate are very helpful and friendly! Sites are large. Many have sewer hook ups. Most have a great view of the lake. Most of the pavilions, picnic tables, grills and pads are in decent shape. Airport park is close to many site seeing attractions also. Visit Mammoth park, Magnolia, Texas Ranger Museum, Dr Pepper Museum, Baylor University, Cameron Park and the Waco Tour. Very reasonably priced.

This is our third stay at Airport Park. Everyone is friendly, and the sites are well maintained, including ant control. Site 27 offers a good, but not great, view of the lake from the pad. But walk a little to the shoreline directly behind the site to skip rocks or just walk along the water. It was very windy on while we were here.

TIP: Site 27 is not level, especially near the back (common for sites near a shoreline). Park your rig as far forward (closer to the street) as your connections will allow, and you won't have to use as many blocks. Even forward, we had blocks under our jacks and back tires.

We’ve stayed twice now and it is the nicest
best cared for park we’ve used. We could
just live there. Super clean, spacious and
well staffed. 👍🏻

Had a great time here, very quiet at night, love to walk the loops in the morning and evening, has a cool beach that would be fun in warmer weather. The bathroom in the middle loop had no water, but that was the only downside for us.

The grounds were in very good shape after the 2021 freeze. The fellow campers were very nice and informative. I will be coming back.
