Very different experience this time. Cigarette butts and bottle caps from beer bottles everywhere. Scrap lumber and fire pit full of trash. Prior trips were great.

Beautiful campground. Our site (75) was immaculate and raked when we arrived. This site had water, electricity AND sewer! Fairly level. We were in a Roadtrek Class B and did not need the leveling blocks. Some sites with trees and shade. Most sites had a covered picnic table. We were here in February so thankful to have a sunny site. Giving it a 4 star because the showers in the bathhouse in this section were unusable:(. Only 2 unlocked and both of those had broken handles and the water was shut off. We had to drive to another shower house, as it was to far away to walk. A pain when already hooked up. Reported to gatekeeper and cleaning crew. They were aware. Showers were okay, regular knob/handle, hot water, one hook for towel but needed a good cleaning.

Staff and campground were great. Will be back. One thing that could be better is better information on the actual address of the campground and signs showing were the campground is located.

The shoreline has not been cleaned of trees & debris for 2-3 years. There is not a swimming area. Several sites have never had the table awnings replaced from the flood years ago. The cabins are not rentable because they have also never been fixed, the screens are torn & the doors are opened & barely hanging on. This park is in desperate need of repair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had vehicle trouble in the way there so arrived late. The park had not closed yet but was hard to find someone to help us. Finally did and all was good.

Well maintained park. Decent sites. Flat terrain makes for easy bike riding. Lots of air traffic taking off Site 75 was dead in the takeoff leg. But what can one expect at an Airport Park. Overall a good stay!

So beautiful! We went in February, I would love to go back when it gets warmer. They have these rock beaches, Waco lake makes little waves. I would just park my beach chair right there on the beach and watch the kids play all day. Our neighbors were bird watching. It was a lovely place to stay.

We really liked camping so close to home, yet it felt like really getting away. Nice sites. Beautiful views. Fun to watch all the different planes going over.
