Had a blast for my March 3rd birthday. Campground was clean, bathroom spotless, shelters amazingly clean and both of the park host couples were amazing. Cannot wait till next year!!

I have never seen SO MANY BUGS in my entire life!! Yes, we were camping. Yes, in Texas. But my god..we’ve stayed at cedar ridge twice, and union grove once, and there were less bugs at those two parks combined than at white flint. Which is a shame, bc white flint has major potential. Also, let’s get some weed killer out on the dirt areas, like around the picnic shelters..I had to go home to get my grass shears to make the area tolerable. Bath house was nice, though, which is a major thing for me, but the bugs (lake flies specifically; no mosquitoes, which has never happened) just ruined the whole trip.

This was not our first stay at White Flint Park, but was definitely our last. The impression began at the entrance to the park. The gate attendant’s building was covered in spider webs and other unsightly things. It has clearly not been cleaned in quite some time. The attendants do not stay in the building. Instead, they stay in their camper and you have to go find them. The site we stayed in (o8) was surrounded by sticker burrs since the grass hasn’t been mowed in a while. Each one of my kids, and one of my dogs, ended up with sticker burrs in their feet. They were all over the inside of our camper by the time we left. The gravel area where the picnic table is was clearly not maintained. The grass under the picnic table was taller than the seats. Then the general lack of maintenance led to lots of insect activity. Ants were everywhere. They ended up using our water hose as a way to get into the camper. Our last day we had to kill dozens of fire ants inside the camper itself………Last but not least, none of the rules seem to be enforced here. There were large dogs off leashes for the entire weekend and even some people (unknown if they were paying guests) dumpster diving! I definitely want to give the good with the bad so I will say the view of the lake and boat ramp are both very nice. Not nice enough to bring us back to this park.

This small park is nice but COE needs to make some improvements. No gate attendant but the park host was very helpful.
