If you enjoy camping on a mountain side, with your camping area straight down, this is for you. No tree shade coverage at camping sites. Will break a bone or twist an ankle getting from fire pit to your camper. No parking area for extra vehicle.

Everything was great except for one thing. Buzzards were everywhere. They got on vehicles, campers, and made a mess. They got on top of our travel trailer several mornings and woke us up walking around.

We were very pleased with the condition of the campground. It was mowed and clean. Hosts are always friendly and helpful. One of our bests stays ever!!

We always enjoy Johnson Creek. This time however, we usually camp at site 410 so we are near the water and can just walk to the edge of the lake and fish. The edge of the lake is only a few yards from our site, but this time 2 (two) big-ass pontoon boats tied to the bank RIGHT EXACTLY where we fish. They were there Mon.- Fri. so we did NOT get to walk to the water and fish. Can't you do something to keep boaters from pulling their boat up on the bank right in front of someone's campsite? We couldn't even enjoy the scenery over the lake because of these two big-ass pontoon boats.

The ladies restroom at the 400s was closed as were two at the 200s. The dump station was not accessible to me as it is being redone and my hose is not long enough. The restrooms are old and shabby. The ones at Wright Patman are so nice and no one is here to enjoy them.

Loved my stay at Johnson Creek. Walking the camp roads near a fall evening provided many opportunities to watch several families of deer.

Overall we had a good time. Park needs to be mowed. All the sites had the grass grown up. Fire ring at our site was old and not maintained.

Had a nice stay. Really quiet. The only negative was that the men's restroom in the 400 loop area was not cleaned during the three days that I stayed there. It was disgusting!
