One of our MOST FAVORITE places to camp. The people who work there are so friendly and accommodating , the lakes are just the best and the park itself is just so good. We love camping at Lake o the the Pines !!!

Great camp ground very clean and spacious only down side is no sewer hookup have to go dump.

I am always impressed with Core of Engineers Campgrounds. The sites are always kept neat and clean with tables, fire pits and most of the time grills. The personnel are very friendly and commit 100% to your needs. Johnson Creek campground was no exception, they were awesome. Luckily we went in the winter months and was able to get close to the restrooms, being handicapped walking far is a challenge. They should have handicapped designated close to the bathroom for that purpose. I noticed a lot of very big trailer and motor homes that are equipped with necessities that took up the close sites and didn't use the restrooms like we did or at all. Other than that, the property of C.O.E. especially close to water are so beautiful you just want to sit outside and enjoy! We are from a rural town in northern Michigan and that's important to us.

Stayed one night., Nice campsite. Great view of the lake. Fun to watch the herd of deer as they wandered to graze in the evening. Would come back again.

love this park,close enough we can go camping and get away with out have to drive long distance after long wk of work and getting off on Friday's late,The young man gate Keeper was so nice and helpful,wrote his name down back in November 2019 reservation weekend note,but cant remember it ray or ricky ? thanksgiving reservd started day before thanksgiving, he is an asset to this park. NOW on other making the reservations by phone,the reps through small times we can get away and go on the phone reservation SOME,have been cold and not personable,we like to know a little about were were camping and putting 40 ft motor home,if we get off late at night importance a view of lake,they really don't know by there computer look up, I even have it opened up when i have talked with them earlier by phone need better pictures to show where your spots are and some friendlier representatives ,if we have to reserve and pay by phone,i have called gate keepers whats left and where spot location at,then called reservations to book and pay ,very time consuming. please up date pictures if possible,and importance of some niceness on phone online reps handle customers. thank you kindly for listening
