We stay there several times a year. The bath areas are fairly clean but there are always spiders and other bugs present in them.

Had a great time camping and fishing for a few days. Water was low so beaching the boat at night was not the best option. No problem, the big boat ramp made launching easy. We will be back often.

Beautiful site right on the water. Our spot was a little tight for my 40 foot Class A but nothing that couldn't be overcome. Excellent home base to visit Jefferson, Marshall, and Longview.

Spent Labor Day weekend 2021 here. The park was well maintained and the staff friendly. The evenings and nights were quiet and peaceful even though the park was full because of the holiday weekend. Would highly recommend this park.

If you are not 55+ this campground is probably not for you. We stayed three nights and while we absolutely loved the site location, and serenity of the campground the gate keeper made it clear he has a problem with younger couples with children. (Note: we barely left our motorhome due to work obligations, did not have unleashed dogs running around like other campers, and our kids were quieter than people outside around the fire at night). Perhaps it was because of a misunderstanding when I went to reserve our second night there and tried to pay cash (cash is not acceptable due to covid-19 which isn't a big deal) but the gentleman at the gate immediately drove back to our campsite (which is at the farthest corner of the campground and I walked therw 6 months pregnant so I couldn't exactly sprint back) to tell us at 2:24 as we're waiting for payment transfers to clear that we need to pay online or leave, which we were ALREADY doing. Despite this we still paid for another two nights yet I watched the gate keeper park in front of our motorhome each afternoon verifying our reservation. As if this harassment wasn't enough to make us feel unwelcome, as we're packing up to checkout by 2pm on our day of departure he starts calling our phone at 1:47 over and over to tell us we NEED to contact the gate immediately because checkout is at 2pm. It wasn't 2pm and we won't even mention all the 55+ campers he allowed to check in starting at 9am. (Note: Every other camper we came into contact with at this campsite was sweet as pie and so respectful). Unfortunately the gate keepers attitude essentially just ruined the stay.

We were without water quite often. In fact one 26 hour period no water. There was a bad water line leake and break. We were told we would get a credit for that day. We haven’t received it as of yet or I haven’t received notification of the credit. Thanks
