Very nice campground, I had some issues with the roads/drives, they are narrow allowing larger RVs to run off the asphalt onto the rock and dirt. Vegetation/weeds needed mowing and clean-up, maintenance was lacking. We found trash and cans in the fire ring left by inconsiderate campers, pine needles, leaves, and fallen limbs in our campsite from the trees when arriving, plus tree limbs that extended into roadway that needs to be trimmed. Would we return, YES, maybe these suggestions will help, and the next time things will be different.

Nice camp grounds. There were ants everywhere. There were ants in my car, in my husband's truck. This was a family event, we arrived with several members of our family whom also booked their own spots who experienced the same thing we did. We were in spot 111, we had family in 122, 123, and 129. All but 1 family member experienced being over run with ants. We came prepared for bugs and ants with ant granules and demon spray, but this was not enough to ride the ants from our camp sites. We drove home smashing ants in our truck.

We stayed at an RV site. The cement pad was very level. The park was almost empty. It was obvious that we were the only ones using the bathroom but it was clean. Lots of resident spiders and ants. Beware of chiggers in the tall grass. The lake was bathwater warm but pleasant in the evening for swimming. Very dog friendly park.

The RV sites don’t have sewer connection but that’s ok. Dump stations are close. Most sites are right on the lake and it is beautiful. Water is warm and the lake was shallow. We could easily walk out in the water for a hundred yards. Great for boating with boat ramp very close. The restroom could use some maintenance. Some shower heads missing in some stalls and lots of spiders at the entrances. The lots are nice but some roads are narrow for maneuvering a large RV. More signage would be helpful. Beautiful park with lots of friendly deer roaming the park in the evening that made us book an extra night at our location. Great place to camp.

I have camped in alot of Corp of engineer parks, but I think this was my least favorite. The camp sites were extremely close to each other and most had very little to no shade... when it's 100 degree outside that really matters. There was NO way to enter water from area 1 camp area. There are big boulders blocking entrance into water and it was a loooooog way to swimming area. Not walkable. I think each camping area should have a swimmng area and bathrooms close by. At $36 a night..it was a big No for me. May give loop two a try before I completely swear them off.

Beautiful lakefront campsites. Very peaceful. Our new favorite campground.
