Sandy Creek is a great COE park. We were in space #72. The space was very large and spacious. The two sites on each side of us were about 30 yards from our site. The bathrooms were across the road from site 72. This site back right up to the lake, has a nice fire pit, lantern hanger, and covered concrete table. We were allowed to collect dead wood for our fire pit and this park has a lot on the North side.We camped here in a 40' class a motor home.

Restrooms were clean the showers had nice hot water and most importantly they had heaters to warm them during our January stay. Park staff was friendly and respectful. A lot of the reviews complained about park hosts having barking dogs on the OFOL loop that we stayed on but there were no dogs present at the time of our stay. We will be staying there again no doubt.

Sites are large, clean and lots of shade. Camp hosts are very friendly. Best part, no golf carts.

The campsite was nice and in a great location. However, the park host across from site 72 has dogs that bark a lot. We ended up having to move to the other side of the park to enjoy some peace and quiet.

The shower and men's room need remodeling since my last stay here 2 years ago.

Big army core of engineers with many small campgrounds around the lake. Enjoyed our site 67 some others closer to lake. Bathroom flush but basic. Close to state park but cheaper. Nice camp host.

Everything is very nice.2 things-Campers need to take care of their dogs. Cleaning up after them and keeping them quiet for the sake of the other campers. And please, please outlaw the leaf blowers. It's just leaves, leave them alone, please. There are times when it's all you hear for hours. It can ruin an afternoon. We come here to the campground, in the woods, to get away from noisy neighbors with incessant dogs, and unending leaf blowers, and unnecessarily loud motors. We just want peace and quiet. Please.

Our camp host was a loud obnoxious guy. Him and his wife party loudly and play loud music almost every night. He leaves his dog tied up without supervision. One day his dog slipped away and charged me while walking my dog (leashed) past the bathroom. He was trying to get around me to attack my dog, all the while I'm yelling at him to stop. The owner finally came out of his camper and retrieved his dog, but later left us a message that was very disturbing. We took a photo. This is not a nice man .

We were in Loop A , adequate campground, this is based solely on that loop. Sites were clean well spaced apart. NO interaction with any campground personnel staff throughout our stay. However, while we were here there was a tornado warning and we sought shelter in the Bath house which should be condemned! The roof leaked so bad that the water was running down the walls and over all electrical fixtures, along with standing water on the floor.

Very peaceful and quiet. Camp Hoist was friendly. Road going to campground was a little rough but well worth the drive.

I always like camping there because it is a really clean park. The table canopy top in quite a few sites really needs to replaced to make the sites really nice.

We stayed in spot 72. It was a nice spot. Right across from the shower house and a nice view of the water. Also, had plenty of space between spots beside us. Enjoyed a nice bike ride around the park. Park host was super nice! Felt welcomed! Will definitely be back!
