Fantastic sites with lake views that are long and level, suitable for larger rigs. Enjoyed this peaceful and quiet park!

We always enjoy our time in this park, the sunrise and sunset, late evening walks and bike rides are the best!

the second day visiting that morning we experienced chigger bites on ankles and legs. the itching only became worst , since we had"nt brought any itch cream with us. we stayed at site #18 next to some wooded area. Its been over seven days and the bites are still red noticable areas . I am pretty sure we wont be camping at Sandy Creek anymore. There is a good report though, It is very quiet and peaceful at night.. The Park Host was very profession and polite..

Ive always enjoyed the Corp of Engineer parks . Just a thought though . Would be nice if they started manning the gate again though . Lots of riff raff in and out with gates wide open .

The campground was very nice overall. There was no one manning the entrance gate when we arrived but she did come out to greet us from her RV, which was great because we needed a campground map and none were available in boxes. We didnt use the restrooms but did walk in to check them out. They were very dated and underwhelming so we used our shower instead. There was quite of bit of space between sites where we were in site 18 however we did notice other parts of the park were situated much closer together. Dump station was set up nicely and ok to get into with our 45 5th wheel. There was about 1 1/2 miles of road getting to park that was very narrow and pot holed and signs to park were scarce. Being as big as we are we were getting very nervous by the time we found the park. The park road was newly paved and pretty narrow as well. Sunset were stunning!

Nice large level spots, covered picnic tables, great views of the lake. Drove through park and picked our site and booked online. Would surely stay again if in the area! Close to two small towns with restaurants and grocery stores if needed. We ate at Elijahs, good country cooking. Get the chocolate pie!

Very clean, spacious and LEVEL sites. Will definitely camp there again. Also used both boat launches to enjoy kayaking many times.

Sandy Creek is our favorite place to take the 5th wheel! We always stay at site 18 and love the space we have between campsites. Plenty of room to hang out and play games and feel like we aren't surrounded by people, yet close enough to camp next to friends and spend time together. But the best part, are the sunsets over the lake! I wish I could capture the beauty in a photo. The only thing that would make this place better would be full hookups.
