Recommend the cedar tree restaurant in Jasper was very good. We had a pull thru site right on the lake was excellent! Site number 76

Overall nice experience. Im thinking the water coming out of the hose at my site may have been contaminated possibly giardia .

The campsites, lake, and surrounding woods were beautiful. The park Rangers were very helpful and friendly. There were unfortunately, fire ants and ground hornets in the camp sites, though the hornets were quickly killed by park personnel once informed. The words were also full of dead fall and rotting trees, a fire hazard in the burn ban. The wood covered bridge walkway had been torn out and the trails torn up around it, possibly due to renovations. We still had a wonderful time camping and would highly recommend the campground.

We really enjoyed our time at Sandy Creek!Of course it would be nice to have a sewer hook up, but otherwise it was beautiful and peaceful. Go into Jasper and eat at the Cedar Tree. Its the best!

My family has been returning to this campground for 58 years and I couldn't face the year without our time in the woods.

Campsites clean and the area we were in had new asphalt in some places, new plumbing at the sites. Did not use shower but toilets were clean. There is an oil rig drilling nearby making noise in the 70s loop. Not too loud but noticeable. AT&T and Metro by T-Mobile had strong service. Camp hosts were nice, helpful but not intrusive. Great stay.

Our park host, Elvin, helped make our stay the best. He kept the sites clean and would come by and ask if you needed him to blow off your campground. He even helped carry our battery from the boat ramp to our camp when we had trouble. Other than too many alligators in the lake we enjoyed our week.

I stayed in the OFOL loop. Really beautiful park. Quiet area. The campsites are not right on top of one another which I think is a huge plus! Beautiful view of the lake, too. All the staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend to others, and camp there again!
