Great site, very quiet! Only complaint was the gnats.

Wonderful weekend. The other campers actually acted responsibly with their pets. May I suggest putting seats on all the toilets? Now if we could just stop using leaf blowers...

Spot #71 was a good stay. Barking dogs have been a problem in the past but this time it was peaceful and quite. The gate attendants did a good job.

We have spent alot of time at sandy creek through the years. We have always had great experiences. Sometimes we have the family(kids and grandkids) sometimes just me and my husband. They have a hiking trail in the ofsl that if you take the whole thing will take you over to Martin dies state park. There are benches along the way to sit and enjoy the lake views. And a beautiful bridge in the back water area. We have walked it and rode our bikes. They have nice bathrooms that are always clean and with showers. The people there are always nice and friendly. The only thing is if your afraid of alligators it might not be for you. We have spent several new years, there # 76 is our favorite. I love the fall the best ( beautiful for walking and bike rides) especially since we don't swim because of the alligator. Some people do. We only live about 45 minutes away so it's a perfect getaway for us. When we first started going we could get our favorite sites on a day notice but now we have to book ahead.

Picked wrong dates to go weather was terrible and 4 inches of rain raised the lake also 2 feet. It was better then sitting at home .
