Been coming here for years, love the park, but bathrooms were beyond filthy. Seriously, bad. Not sure what happened. And they still haven't put seats on most of the toilets. Don't get it.They have finished the dump station, it's fully functional now.Overall, park looks good.

Wonderful weekend. The other campers actually acted responsibly with their pets. May I suggest putting seats on all the toilets? Now if we could just stop using leaf blowers...

I love this spot. It is quiet and clean. The only issue I have is that there are no trash bins on the OFOL, so you have to make a trip to the other side to throw away your trash. I also dont understand why they didnt level the sites when they topped the main road. But still it is a hidden treasure.

I stayed on the OFOL side and loved it. However, there were a few issues that kept this review from being 5 star. Number 1: No place to put garbage, no cans or no large trash bends on the OFOL side. You have to drive to the other side of the park to put your trash away. This is ridiculous. Number 2: There needs to be a dump station on the OFOL side. There is a place for a Host, make that area into a dump station it is not being used. You have to drive to the other side of the park and halfway through that side to get to the dump station. There used to be a road access to that area without having to drive through the park. You could re-open that road and put a coded entry for OFOL guest.Number 3: The Restroom/Showers went a couple of days without attention and needed to be cleaned.Number 4: Large gator prevented me from Kayaking.

Park is clean and pretty well maintained. Many lots with views of the water and some with amazing sunset views. Most lots seem to be fairly level and easy to access. The covered picnic tables are a very nice bonus also. There are no sewer hookups, which is not a big problem but the dump station is difficult to get to. It is located in a section of the park that can require a fairly long drive to access it. It also has a short tight turn and could be difficult for larger rigs to access. Over all, I really enjoyed our stay and will come back again.

As always, we had a great time. All the volunteers are wonderful and the park is beautiful. For the most part we had the park to ourselves due to the weather.

Spot #71 was a good stay. Barking dogs have been a problem in the past but this time it was peaceful and quite. The gate attendants did a good job.

We have spent alot of time at sandy creek through the years. We have always had great experiences. Sometimes we have the family(kids and grandkids) sometimes just me and my husband. They have a hiking trail in the ofsl that if you take the whole thing will take you over to Martin dies state park. There are benches along the way to sit and enjoy the lake views. And a beautiful bridge in the back water area. We have walked it and rode our bikes. They have nice bathrooms that are always clean and with showers. The people there are always nice and friendly. The only thing is if your afraid of alligators it might not be for you. We have spent several new years, there # 76 is our favorite. I love the fall the best ( beautiful for walking and bike rides) especially since we don't swim because of the alligator. Some people do. We only live about 45 minutes away so it's a perfect getaway for us. When we first started going we could get our favorite sites on a day notice but now we have to book ahead.
