Staff were very friendly and helpful. The campsites on the west side rear side were very nice and beautiful.

There is nobody at the guard shack and the gate has been removed so no need for the gate code. Our site was good. We would look further in, closer to the lake next time. The road in is a bit narrow but not too bad. We drive a big rig with tow. Jasper is about 10 miles and a nice little town. Also, if you like, try a cute little Cajun restaurant in Kirbyville about 30-45 minutes away.

Very clean and peaceful. The only issue we had was at dusk dark the May flies absolutely ambushed us. It lasted an hour or so then they died off but everything including ourselves were covered. The experience was nice though with beautiful views.

We stayed over the weekend and couldn't get a favorite site so we were watched by the adjoining site campers every time they were sitting outside.
Other campers burned wet wood all day smoking up our site, had to keep the windows and door closed.
The bathrooms were clean, the hiking is great, overall a good campground - just get the right site!

Nice park, lot of space between sites, very quiet. Park volunteers were great.

We went tent camping and stayed at lot #12. We enjoyed it and so did our little pup. It was nice and peaceful and a great getaway from the city. The ground keepers were extremely nice and helpful. Folks were enjoying their areas, fishing in their boats, and we even got to see an alligator in the lake. Overall, it was a fun experience and to top it off, the weather was super nice that weekend :)

Spacious sites, clean and quiet.
We stayed at site 12 and with a little maneuvering, we were level and comfortable.

We enjoyed our two week stay at Sandy Creek! What a beautiful campground! It was so quiet and peaceful too! The only bad thing was dropping our fifth wheel on the pad that wasn't level. All the pads should have been leveled when constructed years ago. Oh well! That's what manual override on the auto-leveling is for! LOL We'll be back!!
