We enjoyed the stay here, very quiet, not too many people here. Electric and water at the site. A little run down but I heard it's because it's been flooded out twice recently. Shower house is being rebuilt. Site 38 is great if you have Starlink. AT&T and T-Mobile cell phone is pretty weak at this spot.

Hard campground to get a site on! Over half of sites have not been rebuilt after two years and are closed off!Drives and camp sites need to be ground and repaved.During my stay there were three other campers, but several sites were reserved, but never occupied.

It is a nice family park, however, sites 16 - 30 being closed is a SHAME and UNECESSARY!

The road we were going in on was under construction and closed. The park should have sent out an email that this road was closed. We had to drive an extra 20 miles to get to park. Park had a lot of litter and watched as host would drive right by it. Decent sites. May try again since we have relatives nearby.

I was very disappointed when we first pulled in being there was no water as the drought took it away. Ok so then I just soaked in the quiet and beautiful surroundings. Then the whole park lost electricity for 5 hours. The park host was very nice The bathrooms are outdated and no showers, but hey thats what i have a camper for. Overall I did love the spacious area and surroundings. I will be back! Our site was #38.

Our trip was peaceful. We enjoyed the time we were there. I didn't like the park people driving through periodically in the night, but still, all in all, it was very nice.

No one at front gate to help campers.Dead trees all over that can and will fall on campers.Docks not in water to assist boaters.Someone needs to get it on and fix all the bad things at Hanks Creek.

They only had two showers open and only one was slightly warm. They need to open all the showers and turn on some warm water. The showers down by the boat ramp are usually better but they had them closed...covid is an excuse to give crummy service.

The grounds and park were excellent. We had wonderful weather. The bathrooms were good, the showers only had one with hot water and I would recommend wearing flip flops while showering. We were able to have a fire in the fire pit, no burn ban. The grill grate is above the fire pit for cooking. Our site didn't have a covered picnic area, but the trees provided enough shade. We brought our kayaks and we fished/kayaked in the cove. And yes, the raccoons are brave. They did not care we were trying to shoo them away! What I didn't like was how people don't know camping etiquette. Our neighbors across from us let their kids run wild and they always cut across our site to get to the lake water. We had kids, too, but that doesn't make it right. So please teach your kids camping etiquette! And if you know they would want to play on or near the lake, then book a site with water!

We were robbed along with about 10 other families. We were told that people camped in the park stole fishing equipment, tools, a motor etc. The main gate is not locked at night because it is broken and has been broken for quite a long time. We do not feel comfortable camping here. This is the second time we have been robbed at Hanks Creek. Also our site had not been mowed when we arrived. And it was not mowed while we were there for almost 2 weeks. Weeds were knee deep. Needless to say, we wont be camping there again. There is a private park nearby where we will camp.
