My favorite camp on Sam Rayburn and it's near good fishing spots. It's very well maintained with friendly park hosts but many campsites, bathrooms and docks are still damaged and closed from Hurricane Beryl. I would like to see this park restored.

I have never said this about a COE park, but avoid this one, booked site 33. When we got there, we found dozens of screws and nails from a previous RV fire. The fire occurred 3 months before. We talked to host, but the app would not let the host nor myself modify the site. The host tried to help moved me to a site they did not use. This site had a broken water handle and power problems when checked with my surge protector. I did contact the office the morning and spoke with a ranger who refunded my money however driving a long way to get and Not letting the host or myself to move us ; is the Govt being greedy SHAME

Great location. It was the first trip with a new camper, so an experimentation trip. Excellent facility and location. Private and clean campsite.

Great campground when the boat ramps and all camping loops are open.

We love the park and the Hostesses are very friendly. I will be glad when the park gets more 50 amps breakers by the water because of the newer trailers now have. I wish the showers up front had a better drainage instead of standing in water to shower or get dress. That's the only thing about Hanks but other than that it's a great place to go camping.

Great campsites, private and quiet. Enjoyed the talk pines and lake. We will return.

Nice, quiet and clean! Bigger sites, boat launch and playground all in great condition. And we caught some nice bass.

Nice park, roomy sites, bathrooms very clean. The only problem was loose dogs, apparently from nearby neighborhoods, roaming the park, at times barking aggressively. Intimidating, especially trying to walk my own leashed dogs, especially at night. Park host stated park administration had been aware for some time and had done nothing about it. So likely won't be back, did not feel safe.

Hanks was a really nice peaceful place. My family and I enjoyed being by the water and trees. The host there was very helpful. I couldnt get signal to pay for a camp site, the host helped me get one.

Camp site 33 was great as we brought our pups with us and they was able to hangout around camp without bothering any neighbors as the only camp site that is close to us is directly in front of us and no other camp sites on the right or left side on 33. The kids also were able to ride the bikes in front of camp site without worrying about anyone driving to fast through that area as it was off the main road inside the park.
