This older campground seemed well cared for, but I didnt care for it. Its in need of updating. I stayed four nights. First, there is virtually no connectivity here. It just shows up once in a while, if youre lucky. There is a keypad on the gate for access to the campground. Thats fine and good and I had the code, but it is old and set so low that you almost have to crawl out of your vehicle to access it. I tried three times before another camper helped me. That needs to be updated and the keypad needs to be raised higher to accommodate modern rigs. Its especially difficult for us older campers. Also, people were allowed to park numerous vehicles at their campsites. The two sites closest to me had many vehicles parked there, and they obstructed part of the camp road.

Spacious campsites. Many with direct access to water!

We stayed in site 14 which is on the opposite side of the road from the lake but has a spacious area to relax and a great view of the lake cove. The picnic table is covered and the fire pit/outdoor grill is taller which was nice on the cool evenings as it really heated up with the oak wood fire (BYOW). Fishing was good until the cold front slowed the bite. Also, there were several eagles and ospreys flying around daily for those who like that sort of stuff. Overall we had a great time!

We love Hanks Creek! Always have a blast camping. For sure a safe, clean and friendly place to stay!

Park is nice and clean and the staff are friendly . Very close to fishing , hunting and whatever else one would do in the area . Glad to know the whole park will be open later this year ! . Would like to see the showers with hot water though during the winter time , it was very very cold in the showers . Other than that , great place to stay .
