The campsite had a nice open view of the lake but was very windy. It had a firepit, a fire ring, a grill, a lantern hook, a picnic table, and a tent pad. Even though the campsite had a tent pad, it was still difficult to stake the tent in certain areas. The trees here were small and there wasn't really a good place to put a hammock. No one ever checked us in to our campsite. The campsite was not clean -- there was trash in the fire ring and on the campsite. There was nowhere in the park to buy firewood.

I loved this beautiful park. It was very clean, well kept and right by the lake. I highly recommend this gem.

Lakeside site with beautiful view, lots of space between, clean park and restrooms and a very great staff that responded to a broken grill asap! My new favorite place to camp! Already planning a return trip.

I have been coming to this park and this site in particular for over 30yrs. The site of course is beautiful and usually the best non electric site in loafers bend. However this trip was ruined due to the site being over run by fire ants! We were bit no matter where we went on the site including at night in our tent while trying to sleep. If that wasn't bad enough we couldn't shower due to the water at the nearest bathroom being scorching hot. Maybe in October that would be appreciated but not in the middle of August. I hope these issues get rectified because I love this park and lake and camp here every year but after this trip I am scared to re-book this site and put my wife and kids through that experience again. Luckily we had our boat with us so we could escape the ants and enjoy some peace. We did put out some fire ant poison after the first day that seemed to help but did not eliminate the ants as there were just too many. So if you are planning a trip to this site I recommend bringing an abundance of ant poison and keep all trash tied up away from the camp site.

Was a little windy the first night, but with the group I was with -- it turned out to be fun and adventurous to sit in a tent playing games with the wind pounding at the tent. Our site had a lovely view of the lake. We had a great time. Staff was very friendly.
