We stayed in spot 49 and our daughter and family stayed in spot 47. Spot #48 is a mystery weve yet to unravel! Both spots were convenient to the shore for fishing and the bathrooms that include showers. Check in and out, we were greeted and all went smoothly. Overall, the park was quiet and well kept and we enjoyed our stay. AT&T cell signal was great and the park has free wi-fi.

Fishing was excellent. Campsite was kind of run down. Concrete table was broken. Grill was burned through. No electricity for the whole loop. Luckily had brought a generator just in case . Sounded like it just had gone out for some reason not a regular thing. Great view of the lake and your right there on the water. Sand bass were schooling and catfish were biting. We had a great time. Will definitely be going back probably to another site # though.

This was our first camping adventure at this park. We were on Site 49 and were really pleased. The only thing that was a little aggravating, was how much the day use people, took over the park. I would go back.

Great spot. Nice people. Only got locked out once after 10:00, but that was my trucks fault for breaking down. Strongly recommend

I stayed in lot 49, which is the absolute last site on the peninsula. Overall the site was quite and serene. I did have some assholes that liked to air their TV very VERY loud till about 10pm, but I couldnt hear them after 10, or while in my trailer. Lake views on both sides. Good cell phone coverage (Verizon and T-Mobile- 5G 3bars on Verizon and LTE TMobile 3 bars). Sites were big with fire ring and BBQ grill. A tree was covering my spot, which was fine for shade but not so good to charge my Solar panel. Overall, I would stay here again.

The day use is open but you can not drive to it, you’ve got to walk a distance to get to it and with coolers or other stuff is a hassle. Grass is not mowed. The drop off to the water you’ll need a ladder to get up and down to water.

We were in site 49. No sewer but they have a dump station. We forgot to bring our fishing gear but they were catching large crappie at the marina. The only problem are the roads have a lot of potholes. Sites are not paved. We went to the Bluebonnet Festival. The Bluebonnet trails were beautiful. We ate at the Bluebonnet Grill. The food was delicious. Price & service was great.

Long park on peninsula reaching into Bardwell Lake. Close to Ennis, TX for your needs. Many varieties of birds in the area. Perfect spot to fish from. We were at the very end. There was a partial closure of the park when we were there, but camp host were very friendly. Only thing is it does (and did) get very windy on the point. Nice place, though.

Very inexpensive, good facilities and amenities. Only wish they had some special arrangements for when you come back later than 10 pm because you might be wanted to see a movie at the drive-in that's 10 miles away. Other than that, pretty good place to camp and explore.

This place is my home away from home. If I could live, eat at Highview I would. Great people. Great place. Very clean.
