Great Corps of Engineers campground on Lewisville Lake right outside of Dallas. Plenty of space between sites which are paved and come with 50A and water. The bath houses are very well maintained, and the showers were fairly warm. Walking paths connect all the campground loops, so you can walk the dog, etc. without having to walk on the road. Gate is locked at night, but there is an automatic opener to get out. However, there is no way back in until morning. Saw lots of deer wandering around in the evening.

Beautiful park. Very well kept. If this park had sewer sites it wuld be perfect!

Well maintained campsites and grounds. Restrooms and showers were clean. Beautiful park that I will visit again soon.

This was a great place to stay. It was quiet!!! Except for the airplane noise.
The only draw back was the fact that they close and lock the gate at 10pm.
We will hope to stay there when we return.

This is the best run COE park of the many where we've stayed so far.
Staff is friendly and highly competent. Facilities are neat, clean and very well maintained.
The undulating terrain offers a picturesque, backwoodsy kind of setting in what is, in fact a suburban neighborhood.
Any local services you may want are a mile or so away.

Like most COE parks, Hickory Creek has water/electric hookups, a two-way dump station and dumpsters.
The showers are clean, hot and have excellent water pressure. There is a boat ramp. It also has open fields for playing whatever you like to play.
Hickory Creek is a model of what govt run parks can be like.

The campground is very large and clean with many shade trees.
