Very nice, clean park. Good spacing between sites make for a very fun time setting outside watching the sun come up from out trailer. Will definitely come back again.

Hickory Creek park was quiet, nicely maintained, and my site had a lovely view of the lake. Plenty of trails and lots of available trash dumpsters.

Arrived on Sunday. Monday we had to move due to flooding. We should have been notified Sunday or have our spot changed prior to us setting up.That said, the rangers and staff were very nice and since the park closed on Tuesday, our refund was extremely fast.

Like most of the other reviews, we love Hickory Creek. We were right on the lake. Clean, nice park rangers and hosts, close to stores and restaurants if you need to venture out. We’ve been to HC 3 times in a year.

This is one of our favorite campsites here at Hickory Creek. We have about 6 favorite camp sites at this park so, if one spot is taken we go to our next best. We visit the RV park 4-8 times per year. The park is clean, friendly staff and the campsites are spacious. Great lake for camping, fishing, boating, swimming or just relaxing. If your lucking, you may spot a deer or 2 or 8. The only way the park could be better is to have clean outs at each RV site and maybe a bigger patio covering. Love this park!

Excellent location north of Dallas. Quick access to all of the Dallas Fort Worth attractions. Beautiful lake. Clean park, excellent bathhouses conveniently located. Friendly park personnel. Good security. I have stayed here several times and enjoy the park.

Staff all very friendly and helpful. Site was clean, spacious and shaded. Campground was quiet even on the weekend when was very populated.

Bathrooms are scorching hot...Hard to take a shower without sweating. Needs ventilation working in there. You have the duct work run, why not at least move air.

We chose our spot to be close to the playground that the map shows, we have 2 children. Unfortunately, the playground has been removed, and we were very disappointed. However, aside from that, the campground is absolutely beautiful! There are several shore side sites where swimming could happen if it had been warmer. Campground hosts were super sweet and amazing! Really hope they will replace the playground, and we will definitely be back!!
