Ive never had a bad experience at Hickory Creek. I have stayed a different sites.

We love camping at Hickory Creek. The park is safe, clean, and well taken care of. The paved trails are awesome. There are some sites with the fire ring VERY close to trees, tables, and grills making them hard to use, but that doesn't keep us from choosing this park. The one thing it really needs is the ability to have 2 campers dump at the dump station simultaneously. Currently only one person can dump at a time causing long lines and waits when trying to check out.

Nice, well kept campground. While right on north side of DFW metroplex just off I-35, campground is far enough back in the woods it appears youre out in the country. Deer roam the grounds.

There isn’t a park and you can’t have golf carts even if they are electric. We have been to many parks and this one was not great.

A little busy at the dump station but its to be expected. Seems like a lot more newbies this stay which helped to contribute to some delays at the dump station. Other than that a great stay, very clean park with very clean bath house.

We were in the Dallas area for the Christmas holidays. The only problem we had was the person that was previously on the camp site we reserved was still there when we arrived and was not going to be leaving. He did not understand departure times. The folks at the gate worked with us to move us to another campsite and it turned out to be better then the one we had reserved so in the end all was good.
