Site was great! Have a 35ft 5th wheel and had room to park truck in front of camper. Love the park and would recommend the site. It is right next to the park host but they were very nice.

We camp at hickory creek several times a year. Its a great park with awesome park hosts. Even though it is right in the middle of the DFW metroplex as soon as you enter the park you feel like your in the middle of nowhere. There are nature trails, concrete trails, clean bath houses, good lake access and it is very quite due to no day use. Awesome place for first time campers because it is so close to stores with groceries, first aid supplies and camping supplies. There are even RV dealers nearby. No full hook ups but definitely not a deal breaker.

The bathhouse didnt have hot water and had been that way for sometime. We complained to all the appropriate people and were told it would take time. Other bathhouse nearby had same issue. Were told had to depend on outside support. The park host did his best to get the issue resolved but the person who was responsible was not concerned with our situation. Its a shame that they have let the bathhouses fall into such shape.
