Hickory Creek was fantastic! Shade trees, close Walmart for shopping needs!
Enjoyed riding e-bikes, riding jet ski at Hickory Creek.
Enjoying nature! Saw deer! Black snakes in my the water!

Quiet setting. Nice view of the lake. Will definitely stay here again. Close to everything we needed and wanted to do.

I was camping on site 12. When I got there the folks in site 11 were parked in my spot. The campers on 11 were screaming and arguing all night, and a man named Russell who was staying there took two children and roared away at night, screaming at everyone as he left. He returned in the morning.

We enjoyed our stay at Hickory Creek. A very nice and quite place considering it is close to a busy town. There are Great views of the lake. We liked walking the paved trails. We were in site 14 not the best view of lake but still nice. It was next to the trails. Next time I would like to be in site 26 because it’s a drive through and right on the lake. Bathrooms and shower house was clean. Hope to come back when we come to Texas again. Only complaint was the water tower needs to be painted.

Hosts were very helpful. We arrived a day earlier than our reservations (my bad) and they found a spot for us. Campground is clean and there was plenty of space between campsites. We stayed in #31 and #29 directly across the road from the lake. Our sites were not level and needed some leveling blocks. Well definitely be back.

I love Hickory Creek and am very forgiving. Last year Memorial Day, the notified us a week before camping and cancelled due to maintenance. 4th of July, same thing, cancelled do to delay in maintenance. Needless to see our holidays we could not get in anywhere. Fast Forward, we booked early to get our favorite spot over New Years. We arrived, ohhh that spot was out of order and has been so for months. Oh and by the way we have 3 spots available, which were crap. Our friends all had spots.. no issues. The front desk stated we should of been called sorry. As much as we live camping there, 3 out of 3 times a glitch. I am not happy. They told me I could try to get my money back but.....good luck. So disappointed. We could either go home or stay. So we stayed because our camping buddies had their spot and we had taken off a week of vacation. So beware they can cancel at well on your spot.
