Nice park that is close to the metroplex, it the COE has let it run down. The bathrooms that I went to had 2 of the 3 toilets marked out of order and the only one that was open the latch was broke on the door not allowing you to close the door.

Large Park on Lewisville Lake. Only one dump site, but we left on a Mon morning and only one RV ahead of us. Good 3-4 bar cell service. Sounded like frat party when we arrived on a Sat night, but it pretty much cleared out the next day. All four showers in the nearest bathroom ran only warm to very warm water in the showers and sinks, and lots of mosquitos. Deer walking around the RVs every morning.

My husband and I stayed at Hickory Creek Campground because it was close to family members that live in North Dallas. This was a perfect location for us for that reason, but I would highly recommend it for anyone just looking to get out of the city and enjoy a beautiful relaxed atmosphere on a lake! Campsites are very spacious and there are many opportunities to see wildlife. We saw 5 deer just outside our RV one evening. The staff and camp hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful, well maintained park and you can't beat the price! Especially if you have a National Park pass because you will get 50% off.
