The campgrounds themselves are well maintained and clean. However, if you need the shower and bathroom facilities you may need to note there are a few available, but none had warm water at different times of the day. All of them were not fully operating, to the point some even had the shower heads removed. Not clean, and badly needed updating. They were well marked for your site. And close to metro areas like Dallas.

Miss Debbie is the best! This is a great campground with amazing and kind folks. We love staying here and Miss Debbie always has a treat for our dog when we arrive!

The gate staff is friendly. The campsites aren't on top of one another, we liked how they were spread out. The bathroom/shower seemed clean enough. There were sites with shade trees and lake access is easy. Probably the only critiques I could make were 1) The men's toilets didn't have any locks on them. and 2) The power went out multiple times the 2nd night we were there. I understand this might not have been a park issue. We'll definitely be back, it's inexpensive, and it's close to home, but feels like you've gotten to go out somewhere.

Layout could have been better, it's a long drive to reach the camp site, but most importantly...what we liked most--it was VERY quiet!

Really enjoyed staying here. As others have stated... it's like a small woods in the middle of civilization. Quiet and almost secluded grounds that are well maintained.

We really enjoyed the peace & quiet we experienced at the campground. The facility appears new or highly updated. We will be back again!
