We always go there, and it's lovely to be so close to a family of deers growing each year Daddy Buck and Moma Deer and 9 children dancing around us. Cool morning breeze and fit full dark night in the trees. Enjoying every bit of it. Thank you thank you thank you

Hickory Creek Road is a wonderful RV Park. I live in the DFW area and try to spend 5 or 6 days a month at HC to keep my rv running well. The sites have plenty of room and relative privacy. There are dozens of lake views and plenty of shade. AND if youre over 62 (Im 70) and have an Interagency pass, you can stay for half-price. There are parks not nearly this nice that run $60 or more per night. Yes those parks have sewer at each site but HC is still a bargainand a gem. And the guard house staff are helpful and friendly, with a special shout-out to Debbie. Will H

Stayed at site 41. There's a view of the lake from part of the site and a fire ring and grill on site. The rest is heavily treed. We tent camped and there were just a couple spots on the site to set up a six-person tent. The site was right off the hike/bike trail that leads straight to the bathrooms. The campground doesn't allow day use, so it was quiet in terms of other campers. If you wake up at night, the sound of the highway is pretty obvious, but that was only a small issue to us.

Site 41 was fairly level. Lots of trees. Beware there is only one dump hole at the dump station.

This was our 3rd time at Hickory Creek. We have visited in the Fall and Summer. The campground is very clean. The staff at the gate are very nice. We have enjoyed seeing the deer this trip. We plan to come back again when in/near Dallas.

The staff was on point, very friendly, the dump was out of order which we had stayed 8 days and it was full, but the real issue was people parking on the grass, side of rd and you could hardly drive through on the rd. Then their was the drunks past midnight playing games. I have no problem with fun, but the quiet time was not observed, crazy. I always rate the Park at the best of the best, this time but so much ??
