We are always greeted so cordially and we feel very welcome and appreciated. The park is kept clean and nice and the recent improvements to grills and firepits are great.

I reserved three nights and the morning I was supposed to leave I decided to book one more night. At 2 pm a loud knock on my camper door and a man aggressively told me I was late for check out. I explained that I reserved another night. He demanded I show proof. As a long time frequent camper at this park, its somewhat insulting to be treated this way. I pulled out my phone and showed him the reservation. He stated that he could not read it without his glasses. He insisted I show him the confirmation number. I showed him the confirmation number. Then he demanded that I tell him when exactly I made my reservation. At no time was he polite, respectful, so I shut the door in his face when he asked me what time I made the reservation after seeing the confirmation number. theres absolutely no way he would have spoken to my husband, the same way he spoke to me. After much thought and consideration, Ive decided to stop supporting this park. I know that I can go to a nearby state park for about half the price with much cleaner restrooms, and much more professional and respectful staff.

i love the sites at Hickory Creek for an easy and local camping experience. Check in was easy (and we were able to get in early) and the sites and bathrooms were well maintained.

1st experience at COEs. Beautiful. Quiet. Learned to check showers first. Family couldn't use, too cold. Host next door & messy site w/dog messes & didn't clean up. We saw most walking w/dogs off leash. We had our 4 all on leashesat all times. Location & sites were great otherwise.

We stayed at Hickory Creek campground for a couple of nights during Spring Break 2021 (March-16-18) with our 3 grandchildren. Campsite #20 was perfect for our needs - we had a good view of the lake (obscured a bit when RV's arrived the 2nd day across the street) but still beautiful. The site has trees that can provide shade and backs up to woods with a trail that leads to the paved path that runs through the campground and the restrooms which were a few minutes walk. We had very high winds with storms the first night and I think it helped to be a little further back from the lake. The site was big enough to fit our 2 tents (Klondike 8 person) and an older Coleman tent that is also pretty big. We will definitely be return to this campground!
