Generally a good trip though of course a bunch of drunk kids waited till after the park closed at 10 PM to fire up the music loud and act like assholes to everyone else in the park. No park rangers or anyone to do anything about it. People went and ask them to lower the music but f**k off was said a lot and since they were drunk they were looking to fight. Around midnight though something happened I am not sure what because the music stopped, guess someone called a sheriff but I won't stay anywhere without park rangers again.

Despite very windy weather and colder temperatures, we had a lovely time at Sowell creek. Most campsites have unobstructed views of the lake and are well spread apart. The tables, covered area and public facilities were all quite clean as was the dump site. There wasn't any road noise at night nor was there any light pollution. We plan to visit again when next we are through that area.
