Park is ok. Sites are spacious and well maintained. Bathrooms are in need of updates and repairs. Locking the gates so even campers cant get back in after 9:00 is pretty weird.

The camping was good, just the lake was almost empty, smelled a little fishy, but the campground was nice level, and clean. THEY DID rudely cancel my reservation without saying anything to me, so I Had to go back on before leaving to re-reserve a different site. that has happened several times to me. WHEre I REserve an empty site, then they cancel my reservation with a full refund without saying why. USually its because HE reserved a host site or they closed that side of the campground (WHICH I Suspect is what happened this time). Not very heavy use since the lake was unreachable by boat or car.

Neat, well-kept campground. Always a good place to visit. Just wish the lake level was better. Looking forward to going back.

I didn't check the burn ban so no fire. Texas has been expierencing a drought so the water level was so low and we didnt get to use the water like I planned. The parking was enough and the tent pad was sufficient. We picked the back so we were near the trees and there was deers coming and going in the daytime and night. Its not close to any store so plan ahead with the supplies. Restrooms was decent and cleaned like every other day. Hot and cold water with seating to change in. Not much else I can ask for.

The park is very well maintained, from grass mowed to campsite picnic tables and covering all in good condition. I was impressed with the grill at each campsite, a good quality pit. Bathroom/ Showers are clean. Park is great for bike rides and long walks. I will definitely camp here again.

Sites are extremely large, well kept and very comfortable with nature. We enjoyed our daily visits from the deer, squirrel, and rabbits. The view was exceptional, and with all this we were still close to all the basic needs-dining, shopping, and attractions.

The lake was way down, but not non-existent. Sites are very spacious. Location is great.

We had an issue getting into our site. The park attendants were so helpful and found us a temporary spot! Cant thank them enough.

The camp hosts that worked the gate were very friendly and helpful. This park has the potential to be a very nice park to camp and picnic. There is a lack of everyday maintenance that is beginning to show up in the camp grounds and picnic sites. The RV dump station for campgrounds 3 thru 6 was not in service but the dump station for campgrounds 1 & 2 was open to dump your RV tanks. This is worth mentioning because campgrounds 1 & 2 have been closed for an extended amount of time for repairs to the sewer system. This has been on going for a long time although we have not seen construction work during several past visits. I also feel that a 2 night minimum stay should be implemented on the weekends. When anyone tries to book a long weekend at Potters Creek campsites are always full on Saturday night for months out.

Do not like the ultra strict 3:00 pm check in time, especially if the site was previously unoccupied. Maybe a Monday-Thursday alternate time if 1:00 or 2:00 would work.

We have been going here for several years now with friends once a month from March to November in our RV's.
Rates are great and hookups are good.
