Its very sad the water is down, but do t let that keep you from visiting. The Campground is beautiful and in a great location to enjoy the Hill Country. Our only issue is not with the park, but someone stole a flush handle from our rig. No, it didn't fall offwe checked to be sure it was closed, as we always do when setting up. It disappeared during our five nights there.

Very clean and very safe campground. Family friendly with all the amenities! Plenty of places to hike, walk, bike, or kayak. The water level is at a record low, but its still full of great sites!

This park was nice. Sites were large and level. Great views especially if the lake fills back up. We did need to reach the camp hosts but were unable to find them and no one answered the phone. We rode up to the entrance and talked to the person there. He was nice enough to handle our complaint and all was good. Would stay there again.

Only 2 loops were open. Spacious, clean sites, needed weeding/mowing. Bathroom was a mess - probably because there was on one bathhouse to the entire loop of RVers & tenters. The lake was low, but fun to explore & paddle boarding & fishing.Dont arrive early!

Lots of walking in camp destinations, wildlife galore, and so many stars. Animal World & Snake Farm was really great. Bring your sandals and a black light to the gender separated nice showers, we spotted a scorpion and frogs. Dec was windy but we still fit in a few bonfires. We used Amazon Locker Barbaroke across from Brookshire Groceries, worked great.

it was a fun stay till our truck was hit bey a stray gun shot. We call the sheriff to make a report. We will not be back during firework holidays.
Whom ever make the checkin time rule, must not be a camper. It is crazy not to allow an empty campsite to be available. Why sit outside the park when the space is open. Most people leaving their sites are on their way to the next site or on their way home and will leave at least by noon. Please reconsider this rule. Thank you. Judy Riley
Weekdays so it wasn't very busy which was nice. Wally was an exceptional host, restrooms were clean, grounds were well maintained and the lake was very nice. We have had excellent experiences with all Core of Engineer RV parks. We will definitely come back.
This is a beautiful lakeside park. There are shady sites for those who want them, but many do not have shade, especially if they are closer to the lakeshore. The park is very well maintained. The people at the gate are very nice. Take an excursion to walk across the dam while you are there. It is about ten minutes away. There aren't any trails, but I was able to get 10 miles per day just walking the roads and going through all the different camping loops.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
