Very quiet, not a lot of visitors, even on the weekends. Perfect place to unwind from the hustle and bustle. We loved the sunsets and serenity.

Site was cut and nice. Public restrooms were clean. Definitely going back, hopefully during the summer.

Great park. Wish hosts/cleaning crew would check restrooms often. Always out of toilet paper.Need speed signs of 10mph. We were just getting there, and on the main road, I had my hand on the passenger door to get out to guide my husband in when a car passed us on the right (passenger side) to get by. Had I not looked before opening the door, it would have been ugly. Hosts at checkin cabin are always very welcoming.

Great water view campsites, lots of space between campers, clean rest rooms, one of the better COE areas.

Really liked this park. I was lakeside, with a nice pad, shelter, firepit, and grill. Trails led down to the lakeshore.

Grass is always long when I go seems like it rarely gets cut and every time weve gone another section is closed down Ive been visiting regularly and wish they would open the entire park to enjoy

Had a great time, great spot! Only downfall was grass everywhere was really long around our campsite. Had to have a friend bring a manual mower to mow down the campsite, knee height grass and weeds in some spots. Also we reserved and paid for a water front site and had to get up literally at the crack of dawn to claim a spot that was in front of our camper. That part kind of stunk. People from the front of the park always walking way too close to our camper to get to the water cove area we rented and would set up their day tent in the area that correlated to our walkway. Other than those things, we still enjoyed our time, camp hosts seemed friendly to us, we would still recommend.

The volunteer staff was excellent. The govt staff did a poor job with the restrooms. We actually loved the park. Large separations between campsites, beautiful scenery and easy access to day trip locations.

Please ... Open up another section so those of us that would like to stay longer than 4 days on one spot could stay a week or more. The local weekenders grab all those spots so we have to move a number of times to stay longer.

I feel you need to reconsider your rule on counting a boat and trailer as a vehicle. The pads at Potters are plenty big to park two trucks and a boat and still be able to get in and out of your vehicle. People do not like the rule of having to park outside the gate at night. We go to these parks for the safety of parking inside the parks. Also, Potters has plenty of parking at the boat launch where one could leave the trailer if needed. I have been going to Potters for over 20 years and even when the full park was open there was never a problem with overcrowded parking when I was there. Even the overflow parking by the restrooms are never full. I would even be willing to pay an extra fee for the parking of my boat. I have camped at parks all across Texas and have never had to leave a vehicle outside the gates. Most parks realize that if you are bringing a camping trailer and a boat to the park you will bring to trucks. I do not want to drive 1 to 4 hours to a park and then have to run home to get my boat or park outside the park. Also, this rule seems to be a random rule. The older man at the front gate, who informed me he has been working there for 9 years, told me the rule has been in force since he has worked there. I am pretty sure it started after the park opened after the last flood. Before that I brought the boat and trailer and parked in the park all the time. I say this rule is random because every other time I go I can park all vehicles at my site and the next I cannot. Also, we were camping last week and not 30 minutes after I was told I could not park all my vehicles and boat at my site the couple next to me showed up with two trucks, a camper, and a boat and parked in their site for their stay. So is this rule just for certain people or do only some of the people at the gate follow it? We love staying at potters Creek and we follow rules, but I wish you would reconsider this one.

Beautiful campground, had a great time. However, the strict enforcement of the 3:00 pm check in is very frustrating and I see no point in it when your site was vacant the previous night and available. I was sitting in a truck stop for 2 hours waiting, while my nice RV site was just sitting empty and available.

The campsites are great with a nice view to the lake. The staff were very friendly except one staff member who was at the office (gate) who was very rude, she acted as though you were bothering her when you asked about the park. Overall it was very nice and I would recommend this park as a great place to stay.

This is a very nice park, very large sites, bbq & fire pit on each site, level pad. The only thing that is not 110% is the dump station, it is small and only 1 connection. It could be improved by making it accommodate 2 at a time, even if they had to be opposite directions. Still must rate 5 stars, will be back.

The sites were nicely spaced and level, with roads wide enough to negotiate easily. There was a cover over each picnic table that would provide needed shade in summer. I would have given four stars if the trees would have been trimmed higher and the grass would have been mowed. Many RVs are very tall nowadays and it is disconcerting to have low branches raking the whole roof and scratching the sides. The gate attendant was helpful.
