Love ,love, love potters creek, my hubbys family goes there for the week of thanksgiving every year but the only things that could make it better is a heater in bathrooms when its cold and non slip tread on the shower floors..and grab bars on the walls the floors are very slick n its just a matter of time before someone slips n falls especially for those of us who are handicapped...and hotter water....other than that love our time there every year

Lake was pretty well down below useful level. The Osprey seemed to be feeding well. Site were a little close, but everything functioned. The bathroom was pretty dirty. Looked liked they may have swept it but never really cleaned it. The shower floor is like a funnel, very sloped towards the drain. It had a lot of hair in it and there were a lot of spider webs and bugs around the walls. The soap scum on the floor had obviously been there quite a long time.

The 9:00 pm gate lock with no access code is very restrictive. I will not return to Potters Creek as long as this is the policy.

Absolutely loved this park. Sites were thoughtfully designed to accommodate a variety of camping set-ups. Staff (Ken) and volunteers were so kind and helpful. Canyon Lake is beautiful and hopefully will be filled to the brim next time I see it.

Such a beautiful park. Big camp sites and our spot was covered with shade. Everything is very clean. The public restrooms seemed to be attended daily. Boat ramp and dock are in good shape. The hosts were very friendly, all of them.

We absolutely love this park. However, this summer when we were tent camping with our kids, for some BIZARRE REASON, at 7am they decided it would be a good time to mow AND weed eat ALL around our tent. It was beyond rude and I really can’t believe this was ever approved. I kept thinking “oh they will see us in here and hopefully be respectful and stop” but that didn’t happen. They got right up next to our tent and just kept at it. Our friends that were camping in campers heard it loudly, also. I’m sure it was the lawn services fault and not particularly the parks doing but other than this…it’s always an awesome time camping at potters creek. The host are so friendly and the facilities are kept clean. We return ever summer and it’s always the highlight!

Large campsites were a Hugh plus. Dump at campsite would be nice but not an issue if you plan ahead.

Wonderful weekend getaway, everything at our RV site was in good working order. The bath house could use some work on the doors so they close better and some hand soap for the lavatories. Don't get me wrong every thing was clean and the view of Canyon Lake was wonderful, will be going back.

They finally cleaned the park up. Removing dangerous brush undergrowth. Cleaning bathrooms. Thank you.

So thrilled to find such an awesome place just an hour from Austin. We were just a short walk to the lake. You can swim anywhere but wear your water shoes since its rocky and the bottom is clay vs sand. We saw some Egret and vultures. We had an amazing shady spot and could see the water, we also had sun if we wanted to shift around. Definitely stay on the backside of loop 4 as you are set above the other sites and get a great view and breeze. These sites back to a green belt. There was a burn ban so we couldnt use the fire ring but could use the (provided) grill. Each site in loop 4 seems to have a covered picnic area. We stopped into town and had amazing breakfast tacos at Mimas. This place was hopping. We plan to return!

The site numbers for the L4 loop are incorrectly labeled on the rec.gov website. We wanted and booked spot 78 (across from bath house). However, all these spots in this area are actually one spot off. IE #78 is spot #80 as it appears on the rec.gov map. Besides that, good (but crowded on the weekends) campground.

This park is beautiful. We had sites overlooking the lake. The bathrooms were ok. The showers really slant to the drain and it is a little harder for us older folks to manage the slope. Nice level pads and covers over the picnic tables. I would definitely go here again.

It was our first time out with the new 5th wheel and it was ideal spot and nice scenery
