We love coming to this place. We camp here at least 3 weekends a year. The shelters are a little run down, but overall its a good place to spend a weekend.

The local was very pleasant, with a constant breeze off of the lake. Disappointments were that the light/ceiling fan was broken and one sink leaked in the screened shelter. Our overall experience was very good and this place will be considered for future camping trips.

Well our experience was not what we were expecting the light of the screen shelter was not working or the ceiling fan and we had to use our flash lights.and thank god I brought my industrial portable fan if not we probably would of have to sleep in a hotel.and another thing is that I got sting by a scorpion on my right index finger thank god dint have to go to the hospital I did report it to Mrs Linda and she told me they were not poisonis but that was a scary moment for me cus I thought they were so I just thank god am ok.

The campsite and facilities were perfectly fine!! My problem was when we first pulled up to the gate. We arrived 30 to 45 minutes before 3:00pm (official check-in time). I was immediately told that I could not check in until 3:00pm. I asked if I could check-in if the previous people had already checked out. I was told no!!! If the staff cleaned my shelter due to COVID-19, I could understand a delay in check-in. This was not the case!!!! The staff simply would not let me check in before the official check-in time. There was no one in any of the shelters in the entire area!!!! It was absolutely ridiculous and complete STUPIDITY on the part of the lady at the front gate, to not allow me to go ahead and enter the park!!!! I pay PLENTY of taxes, and I pay for these facilities, and I paid to rent them for my use. Checking in an hour early; especially when no one was there for who knows how many days prior, would not have hurt anyone, or lost the facility any money. What they were successful in accomplishing was, angering a customer when it was absolutely unnecessary!!!! Train your people, and teach them to use just a little bit of common sense. Its very simple stuff stupid!!!! Oh.....And by the way, the restroom cleaning crew did not show on the day they were supposed to show. Our restroom completely ran out of toilet paper. As you can imagine, this can be an extremely nasty situation!!! The elderly gentleman that was in charge of maintenance, took it upon himself and moved toilet paper from restrooms that had extra, to restrooms that were out. When I asked him, he relayed the story about the contract cleaning company dropping the ball. I don't know what he did, but the next day there was toilet paper. As far as I know, he went and bought paper out of his own pocket to take care of the customer. That is what customer service is!!!! Not the idiotic lady at the front gate!!!! Talk to your people, and train them!!!!

I enjoy every time Im there Its peaceful and wonderful place me and my family love it like to go every year but sometimes unfortunately are full hope this summer I have a good luck and book on time
