Sites are large and spaced out from each other. The parking pads are long and will fit any size trailer/RV. We stayed in site 101 in 30' travel trailer and the site was level and long. Park is well maintained and clean. Restrooms were clean, and well stocked when we were there. You cannot check in until 3:00 and gates lock at 9:00 PM. This was not issue for us and we knew about the times before we arrive. Park is quiet, and has lots of roads to walk or bike. We enjoyed our time over New Year's Eve and will be back. If you go during the warmer months, it would be better to camp away from the lake so that you have trees to give you some shade. The sites along the lake do not have any trees. Yes, the lake it way down due to the drought, but this did not take away from the beauty of the Hill Country. We went into Canyon Lake to eat lunch one day at Wild Flour. Highly recommend this restaurant. Looking forward to our next trip at Potters Creek.

Beautiful park. Nice size sites. Many sites have shade and many others have a good view of the Northern or Southern sky. Very quiet at night. Only pro or con depending on point of view is gates close at 9pm and dont open until 9am. Will stay again.

We have been here 3 times in the last couple months. We absolutely love it. The first 2 times we were in site 68. Great location, lovely trees with lots of shade and pretty awesome seeing the wildlife. We saw deer and a fox . No problems at all. We did try and go swimming. The lake is real low at the moment so that was a no go but we had great success flying our kits. Only downside is the bathrooms are very dark even with the light on and we did see a scorpion in the sink. They are nice bathrooms but could be a little cleaner. Besides that great spot and visit. This last weekend we got lucky and snagged a last min cancellation just in time for the holiday. This time we were in site 101. Still a very nice spot. No trees or shade besides the picnic table. But there was a cute little bird's nest with babies in it that my girls enjoyed watching over the weekend. Friday night our 4 year old refuse to put shoes on and ended up stepping on a scorpion which was in the rocks right between our camper and the picnic table.(I thought she just stepped on a sharp Rock) We did end up seeing a second one in our wood pile the following day as well. PLEASE WATCH FOR THEM. Lake is still low so we opted to go to the swim beach down the road. (Which I wouldn't recommend doing.) Even without the shade we had a great time and did lots of bike riding with the family. We will definitely be going back.

Great place to stay, quiet and very clean park. Many sites closed for years due to past storm but ACOE seems to be a little slow at moving money over to make repairs. Kinda sad because some of the best sites are closed.

Large level sites, but park was at least 50% closed due to off season and/or covid? Water level in lake was down about 10 feet. I assume this was because of off season? We definitely would like to come back when park is fully open. The family sites are also unique and would be fun for 2-3 rigs.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
