We have stayed at Cranes Mill COE park many times, and we love it. Quiet, close to everything we might need, nice view, wildlife to watch. ATT Cell service was good, park power and water worked perfectly. The dump station was convenient as we stayed two weeks, used it in the middle and end of our stay. Grounds were well kept and clean. There was one tree that overhung the entry road, just past the restrooms that hung a little low and scraped our RV roof a bit. Noisey, but no damage. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were thankful they had the park open for us during the big shutdown. Sad to learn this park will be leaving the COE system at the end of the year to become a day-use, for profit park. We will miss it.

Very relaxing campground. Close to shopping and other amenities. Less than an hour to San Antonios river walk and Alamo

We have stayed in this Cranes Mill COE park each year for the past several years. This year (other than the lake being low) was the best yet. The weather was great, the park was very well maintained, the power and water worked well, and the dump station was convenient and easy to use. our ATT cell signal worked well and provided us with internet access. My only comment is that the rangers need to make early evening runs through the park. Even though there was a burn ban in effect, several campsites were having fires. Not good.

We enjoyed our stay. A campground volunteer was great and answered questions for us. The lake was extremely low so we walked shoreline.

Crane Mill park is a great COE park. Water and Electric work exactly as expected. The dump station on the way out works well, even for our 40' MH and towed jeep to fit. Roads and site surfaces are smooth. Alas, the lake level was very low this year, but still a nice venue to relax for a week or so. Easy to get to local shopping and services, we had a great time, one week, Nov 2023.

Great park. Quiet park. Nice views of the lake. I would have rated “Excellent” if the tall grass in, and around, the sites would have been mowed.

We were there three days with excellent weather (with exception of one evening when it rained for two hours) to mow the entire area twice. No reason with all the “staff” we observed near the front gate it couldn’t have been done with the huge riding mower we saw. Interesting, the area around camp hosts RV sites were manicured nicely. Too bad they don’t take the same amount of pride in cutting the rest of the grass in the park.
And don’t give me the “the ground was too wet after the rains” excuse. My wife walked all around all 30 RV sites for 3 days and the ground was solid enough for the riding mower.

We have been working on job sites down in San Antonio and in the Spring Branch area and we recently found out about the rates at the US Corps of Engineers parks. This park offers a small selection of spaces for RVs but the sites are very ample on space and still allow friendly interaction with temporary neighbors. I highly recommend this park as a place for travelers/full-timers or those just passing through. The volunteers are amazing and accommodating. Great views of the lake and tidy, clean sites.

A VERY quiet and serene park. My wife was very impressed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers, which is definitely a major + for the park. Although our travel trailer is only 26 feet, sites are very "big-rig" friendly. Will definitely stay again.

Cranes Mill park is a great RV Park. We have a 40' motorhome, but there are sites for all sizes including parking a towed vehicle. You will have an excellent view of Canyon Lakes, very quiet, and great dark skies at night. Water and Electric worked well. No sewers but there is an excellent dump station on the way out. We had a good ATT signal for data and voice. There are lots of restaurants and shopping in a 15 mile radius, and more if you want to go into San Antonio. Even a Camping World in near by New Baunfels. Only drawback for us was visiting relatives in the area. The gate closed at 9pm, so we had to be back in time, no late entry.

This park had covered patio with long metal table. Bathhouse had been updated, very nice showers (one big stall with bench). Campground is fairly busy with campers coming and going daily, so make sure you book early. Site #25 with a path leading down to the lake. Asphalt road and pad. Car wash, grocery store, and gas station all within 5 miles. Natural Cavern was amazing.

Excellent campground, all good sites with lots of room. Many deer roam the property, so if you have dogs be ready for excitement. Easy drive to the hill country and all it has to offer.

Love this campground. Plenty of room for big rigs with the extra parking spot next to the campsite. Some sites will not have lake view from your door side of your RV so check that before reserving. Easy to get around and helpful hosts. Saw deer. We'll be back.

We travel in a 40' motorhome, towing a Jeep. Access to the park and camping sites was easy, Roads and all sites are paved and in great condition. Water and electric worked great, and we used the dump station on the way out. The area was quiet, the lake was scenic, and about 12 miles from all the amenities you might want in New Braunfels. Our ATT cell service had only a couple of bars but worked well. Very dark skies for stargazing. The sites can be a bit out of level for a longer rig, so be prepared. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

Really nice park. Lots of space between sites and the site we were in was fairly level. Bathrooms fairly clean. Staff super friendly. Nice little fishing dock in the back of the cove.
