Very nice park with decent sites. Easy to get to and easy to get into the sites.

Crain's Mill Park was pristine, with a well-maintained landscape that reflected a strong sense of personal pride in its upkeep. The Camp Hosts were both professional and personable, always ready to share information about the best places to visit as well as the park's history. Whenever a camper departed for another adventure, the Camp Host would promptly tidy up the vacated site for the next visitors arrival. The restrooms were generally well-maintained, though they could benefit from new toilet seats. Additionally, the women's restroom needed a new hand dryer, as the existing one was no longer functional. The park did not provide paper towels, so it was important to remember to bring something to dry your hands when using the ladies' facilities. My husband noted that the men's hand dryer was in working order.Unfortunately, the lake was down by approximately 50%, which was disappointing. However, the remaining water was still beautiful and offered great photo opportunities at both sunrise and sunset.

Very pleasant experience. Friendly staff and volunteers. Bathrooms and showers were very well kept.

This place was simply awesome. Not only was it quiet, but it is well maintained, small number of sites, and lots of room between the sites. The camp hosts were actually the highlights of the visit - super friendly, informative, and so helpful. The lake was low due to the 2 year drought, but there was still enough water to know you were lakeside and there is plenty of open space for a great walk or bike ride. We were there in January which was perfect as the campground was only half full and super quiet. The water was consistent in pressure and the electric service was 125v on both legs of the 50 amp service. My only complaint - and this is kind of nitpicking - is that most of the sites have a grade to them. In our 43ft motorhome, the front of the coach was nearly off its tires to be level. We simply went on Recreation.gov and changed to a more level site, and it was perfect. Highly recommended.

Good facilities for the campground. Loop closed to traffic for day use made a great walking path around the peninsula.

We stayed one night at the end of February. Site was easy to back in to, well paved, with electric and water hookup. Bathroom facilities were up to date and clean. Dump station was conveniently located on the way out. It was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stop here and would stay again, but its out of the way location from the interstate made it tricky to get to (during rush hour traffic on a Friday, which was not ideal), so not the most convenient location for an overnight stop. Would definitely recommend for longer stays.

Super friendly and helpful hosts. RV sites have water and electric. Nice clean dump station. Restroom/showers are clean and stocked. Good amount of room between sites but not much shade in the RV loop. Number 14 is one of the best. There are a couple of fishing docks.

Park gate reception had a problem being able to identify my campsite. They had it on the board as not available for the night. I had a print out with my reservation number and he was not even able to track my reservation by the number. Did not seem to know how to use the system. Finally called someone to find out what spot to give me. Also, one toilet out of commission in the mens restroom.

The attendants at this park are very nice and helpful unlike Potters creek park.

We enjoyed our12 day stay in March of 2021. The curious 3 PM check-in is still enforced. The rude, uncaring horrible gate attendant no longer works there (he moved across the lake to Potters park, Thank God!). The restrooms were not cleaned and stocked (TP) often enough. We hope to return.
