No attendant at gate; Attendant notes stuck abstractly on board to pick up windshield sign and go to assigned space. As we proceeded to our space, a Day group of 10 were cooking and picnicking in our reserved space; They moved immediately to another nearby space to continue using facilities; Told us they came in because no attendant at gate. We stayed 4 nights; Bathhouse toilets had mildew rings around water line and little to no toilet paper the entire stay. This was a holiday weekend so surely management expected an increase in visitors using facilities. First time in 5 years of visiting, we were disappointed to find little supervision over Cranesmill Park.

Nice and quiet little park. Great sites for big rigs. The lake is way down so limited access to the water. Most docks and marinas dry docked. Enjoyed the walks and the sunsets. Lots of deer roaming around. Park employees were very nice and outgoing.

Love the cleanliness of this area & friendliness of the volunteers! After someone leaves, they are there hosing down the tables and cleaning the sites!

We loved our stay at Cranes Mill Park, May 27-31, 2024. We were in site #2 and it was a prime spot with shade and a beautiful view of the lake. The campgrounds were clean, well maintained, and the staff were friendly.

The staff were super friendly! The park itself was clean and tidy! My only complaint is to get some water into that lake!

Traveling through the area and needed one night to refill tanks and dump. Nice clean campground with decent space between sites. Nice hosts and clean (older) bath house that could use updating. Lots of deer in the area, so drive carefully.

People need to keep their pets on leashes. They also need to use common since, wind blowing at 30mph and having a open fire. Wood provided by park host ?.

Site 26 is like your own private hilltop campground. Sweeping views of the lake and sunset out the front door. Open field behind made it feel very private.

This park is in the heart of Texas wine country. Frederick is a must see with all the wineries and wine tours.

RV loop campsites where we stayed were great. Folks at the entry gate were helpful, I'm just really surprised that the Tent sites are all closed even with weather still warm and good fishing...

Beautiful vantage point of canyon lake
Really relaxing; everyone mannerly and civil. (Unlike right after the flood when a certain couple of folk intentionally made it priority to terrorize campers for the least hiccup or sneeze until they left. Poor guys)
