We always enjoy Lavonia. It is one of the very few Army Corps Campgrounds with sewer. The sites have about 200 ft between them and just about all of them overlook the lake. Shopping, churches, restaurants are all no more than 15 minutes way. Don’t know why, but a very underrated CG. We camped in a 40ft motorhome. Normal rates are $30 per night. The senior pass makes the rate $15 per night. There is a maximum 2 week stay.
Roads were super rough. Some areas were difficult with a 42’ 5th wheel where jacks would scrape to make the turns because of ruts and no shoulder. Site 1 was horrible Unlevel. Had to block the front to level it. 30 amp electrical was just fine for us. Even used up to 30 amps no problems. One of the hosts was awesome. The other couple was arrogant, rude, and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Be sure when the red pickup is there to have your pass in your line of sight on the driver side or they will harass you.
The sites up on the hill had great views over the lake. Quiet. Overall park just needs maintenance and some love and some new hosts. Won’t be staying here again until things change.

The wife and I enjoy a quick get away to this park and typically stay for a week at a time. Friendly staff, clean bath house, clean facilities.
Site pads and roadways need some repairs. Sites are not level and roadways need patching. Great spacing between sites and great views from most. Would come back again and spend more time.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
