Although most sites slope toward the lake, most of them (with some blocks and other leveling gear) can be leveled.The bathrooms are in a sad state of repair. They are clean, but need things like heaters in the winter and general updates.

This park is so neglected. I don't think an audit has been performed in years. There are too many sites without water, electricity, crumbling driveways, rusted non usable BBQ grills/firepits, crumbling roads, and the park has an overall decaying neglected appearance. What's really concerning us that there are too many obvious squatters and non employees staying at the sites without paying or unauthorized . No one there at the front gate to check-in campers. Sad... this park could be so much better. Management obviously has other things to do. Please audit this site! Do a complete thorough evaluation of this park to see if it meets the same standards as the other parks and the Army Corps of Engineer policy rules and guidelines for park maintenence, safety, and overall quality appearance.

Park was run down but it was fun being lakefront. I like that they had septic hook.

Very quiet at this park even on weekends. Of course most sites are inoperable, like over half. So if you want to get some rest this is place to head for. Most sites require you to level RV. Park was kept up well, except so many sites are inoperable. Probably go back if I can get a certain site. I was at park for 2 weeks.

The grounds are nice with plenty of space between sites. The restroom and shower facilities were disappointing. We were there last fall and all four restrooms in loop A were closed for repair so we had to use the restrooms in loop C. This spring we went back to loop A and two of the four restrooms were out of order and the other two restrooms had standing water on the floors because the showers were not draining properly. We had to use loop C restrooms again and only one of two showers was working. Additionally sites 7, 8, 9, and 10 weren't available to reserve.

I will be sending a very in depth description of the worst campsite hosts I have experienced in my 35 years of staying at this lake. The older couple that hosts here are liars, narcissistic and the rudest hosts ive ever had to deal with. I would describe them as bullies. I am at a loss as to why they are still work here. They both believe that this is their land and that everyone and everything is out to get them.. I would really recommend a that the other couple that works here be out in charge and the older couple let go, I think it is time someone tells them to retire. Neither one of them are capable or willing to do the job. Its not right to allow them to bully the citizens of Texas without any accountability. I will be looking into what legal actions I can take to prevent this treatment from happening to anyone else.

The grounds are in desperate need of maintenance. The gate house is not useable as the roof is damaged. The dump station was closed. The sinks in the restroom on loop A do not work. We set up in our reserved spot and there was a water leak about 6 feet from the spigot. There is no phone number to call anyone on duty, so I had to go knock on doors to find someone. We had to disconnect everything and move our 30' trailer to a new spot and by that time, we were setting up in the dark. The next day, they came by and told us they were going to shut off all the water to the whole park for the weekend and we barely had time to clean out our black water tank. We tore down and left. We paid for two nights and only were able to stay one.

Great facility. Very close to Dallas and only 5 miles to a major town (Wylie Tx.Very clean. Camp host were great.

Gate workers were very pleasant to work with. It would be nice if the park could update the electrical outlets. Our breaker flipped several times. We hardly had anything running on it.

Easy access, friendly host, well maintained restrooms, roads and sites. September was the right time to visit this park! Kids loved the warm water. Gentle breeze for kite flying. We will go there again.

Nice campground. Very clean and well kept. The check in closes way too early. Most campers will arrive after 4:30. Showers could have used heaters. The guided hike and archery were enjoyed by our gkids p. Overall, it was a good place to spend spring break.

Site I was on kinda level and near 5 Star restrooms. Many sites are closed because of poor management of sites. Close to half of sites shut-down, been this way for many years. Please get a new manger, that cares about this park. Could be 5 star park with little work and care. Oh well somethings never change, maybe some day.

Hate to say this but most RV sites are very unlevel, so bring plenty of level boards or other devices. Many sites are shut down for elect. or water problems. It has been like this almost year, why they won't them is big puzzel. Sure would help us all if they did. Maybe need New Manager of park. Just saying!!!

We thought the park attendants were so kind and helpful. The two lots we stayed at during our stay were both beautiful and all hookups worked great! There was some dog feces on our lot from the previous campers which wasn't fun but other than maybe checking the lots between campers or enforcing dog rules it was a great place to stay!

We spent a 10 days here between two different campsites. Great location close to Dallas. Staff is friendly and helpful. This is an older park and some campsites are closed for repair. Campsites are spaciously spread apart. Full hookups, 30 Amp service only. Clean bathrooms, Clean bath house. Typical for Corps of Engineers parks, parking is uneven so be prepared to put in some effort to level your RV. Larger RV's (35-40ft) may have difficulty at leveling from front to rear without ramps or building blocks. Worth the effort though if you're able. We will certainly visit here more often.

Clean park. All 30 amps no 50 amps. They have sewer which is great. The spots are not level so take leveling blocks for your tires.

Staff is very friendly. This park is in a state of disrepair, it needs a lot of TLC. Has potential to be a great place to visit if the Core of Engineers would take care of this facility instead of neglecting it. You can tell Eastfork and Lavonia parks are not a priority for the current lake manager.
