Very well kept property and very hospitable host. The camping spots are nice and most have some sort of shade trees. Good roads to go biking on and feel safe.

This location has quiet, spacious lots, deer, full hookups, spectacular sunsets, dark skies (three satellites and two meteors in 15 minutes.) What more could you ask for at the COE's low price? The gate attendant was very friendly and courteous. The is one of our favorite places!

The place could have been mowed before the long weekend. We also had trouble with water pressure coming and going.

We havent been to Hords Creek in many years. We called and Chuck took the time to walk us through all of the sites that would work for our RV and recommend sites that fit what we were looking for. We decided spur of the moment to drive up and spend the night. Chuck gave us excellent directions. He is a true asset. We will stay here again. Fishing from the bank was ok. The park exceptionally clean. The only recommendation we could make is that they 50A to more sites.

Fire pit was completely full of ashes. It had not been mowed. We was out there 4 days and not a single bite fishing. The moss was so bad that you could not get in the water. Was really frustrated do to the kids not having anything to do. We left a day early.

The trip was excellent. We enjoyed the well cared for and maintained spaces, roads, etc. The quiet and clear skys were just what we wanted. It was also our first camping experience with our new RV, so that was really special.

We stay at Hords Creek, Lakeside,Texas several times a year. I once said. This little lake could dry up and people would still come here. The little lake is at 30%+It is a beautiful place to be. But it is SO DRY! We love going there. And recommend it to everyone.I give Lakeside a "10+" Everyone should go there.

The grass was green and was being mowed while I was there. The camp sites are well kept. It was extremely hot and the lake was the lowest in the 25+ years I have been camping there.

The park was gorgeous. Not aware of any activities in the area... fairly remote. We had zero cell service in the park. Couldn't even get service 10 miles away in the nearest town.

I enjoyed being at Hord's Creek Lake and seeing amazing waterfowl. Am not sure why, but this public venue has no soap in the bathrooms so you will need to bring your own.
