Canceled due to freezing weather & Park shutting water off to park

Not my favorite COE park. The grounds were not as well maintained as other parks we’ve been to. Sites are closer together and not as much care went into the sites. The ashes were not cleaned out from previous campers. There were many deer and we enjoyed the view of them and the water. Nice boat ramps for boaters. We’d would choose not to use this park in the future.

Although half of the campground was closed due to hurricane damage, the campground that was open was nice - many spots with good views of the water although the closed campground seems to have the better water views. Lots of deer and a great nature trail (1.5 miles approximately)

We stayed there on new years eve 2020. I didn't realize the bath house was not heated and it was 40 degrees after a front came through. The water was hot but very cold after the shower. I understand that people are going to revel on new years eve but fireworks and loud boisterous yelling and screaming went on until 3am and nobody stoped it. There's even a sign that says no fireworks. We had to get up early and go to an athletic competition on the 1st and we got very little sleep and were tired. It was two groups of campers making all the noise and the rest of the campers had to suffer also. Also the pads are gravel not like the state parks so dirt and mud gets in the camper when it rains. The plus is nice view of the lake and lots of deer walking around. I would stay there again except not on new years eve.
