Love coming to Lake Somerville, in particular camping at Rocky Creek Park or Yegua Park. Been camping in both of them for over 25 years. The park is always clean and the park hosts nice.

Just finished a week long stay at Rocky Creek CoAE Park (June 18, 2021 thru June 25, 2021) in RV Site # 49. We had a pleasant stay and most of our experience was positive. Several things have improved since our last stay at this park, which was in December of 2020. First, the walking trails are in MUCH better condition than they were previously. The trails have been widened somewhat and are mown close to the ground, which makes them inviting and pleasurable to use. Second, I understand that there is a new company responsible for mowing the rest of the park (other than the trails) and the new company is doing a MUCH better job. On one of our previous stays the grass burrs were horrendous because the grass was not being mowed regularly enough. During our most recent stay the grass was beginning to need mowing, but sure enough, the new company arrived mid-week and did a good job of mowing.

Now for the not-so-goods: The restroom we used, which is right across from site #49 needs some maintenance. First, the hand dryer does not work, nor has it worked on any of the three visits we've made to the park. There are frames above both sinks for mirrors, but neither frame has a mirror in it. My suggestion, either put mirrors back in the frames, or take the frames down. There is at least one fan hanger bracket mounted on the wall, but no fan. Same suggestion, either put a fan back up, or take the bracket down. The empty mirror frames and fan bracket speak of neglect. Another male camper told me that the shower head in the Men's was in very poor condition. My wife told me that only one of the sinks in the Women's worked and the hand dryer in the Women's didn't work. The hose bib at our site leaked from around the stem. I happened to notice that the hose bib at site # 45 was doing likewise. Also, the hose bib at the dump station I used was leaking and the water pressure was very low. The water pressure at our site was fine so it seemed odd that it was so low at the dump station.

The area was very clean and the parking spaces are spaced perfectly. It was private and the bath house was well kept. The lake was beautiful.
