Beautiful park. Nicely spaced sites. Enjoyed bike riding, watching wildlife, and enjoying the sunset.

Location was very well maintained. Restrooms were clean. Sites were far apart. One review recommended eating at Mama's kitchen, Somerville. We had an excellent lunch there. We also stopped at Blue Bell Creamery, Brenham. Ice cream was one dollar a cup.

We always love staying at this park It's clean and well kept. The hosts are very nice and friendly. Close to the antique week activities but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet after shopping.

Nice well kept large spaces. Only complaint would be the way the sites are numbered. Confusing so check the electric box to make sure you are in the correct space.

Beautiful park! Even saw a few bucks, turkey vultures, and an otter. Make sure to read the email you get for the gate code. Would stay for ever if we could!

This park is a gem. Off the beaten path, quiet and beautiful. We only stayed here for one night while on our way home from south Texas. The site was long and mostly level, enough that my automatic levelers had no trouble leveling our 40' 5th wheel. The nearby small towns were quaint and loaded with antique shops. We will definitely come back here and spend some tie exploring the area.

Very nice park with helpful staff. Deer are everywhere and the views from our location in the evenings were beautiful. Sunset over the water. Park was in winter mode and boat ramp was closed for the winter and office only open between 2-4 pm for check in. Make sure you have your email for the gate combo if not arriving between 2-4 pm. Be prepared for ants and grassburs. We will be returning to enjoy the park and lake soon.

Great Corp of Engineer park to camp at! We got a beautiful lakefront spot for a week during our visit. Lots of hiking trails, water.
We were in site 55.
There’s some great wineries & breweries nearby too! 🍷 🍻

Get views of the water from the spots alongside the water but even the spots away from the water had great views as well since the were higher up overlooking the shore side spots. Only half the camping area was open due to the hurricane damage but once the north part of the campground is open there look to be some really good views there as well.
