We were on site 44 with a beautiful view of the water and a level lot. Hosts were great. Argentine ants poured into our camper until we bought spray and sprayed all possible ways into the camper, hose, tires, stairs etc.

I love this park but the stickers were terrible. We could not walk on the grass at all. Tons of ants also got into out trailer. Other than that we love the park. We were in site #45

We stayed in the smaller loop in site 45 and had a beautiful view of the lake. The site was very well maintained, level, and had a covered picnic table, large firepit and a pedastal grill. Every employee with whom I interacted was polite and professional. We took a short hike with our grandson who was enjoying his first camping experience - he was one happy camper.

Our favorite site is in the first loop in the park. There are very few sites here so it is not crowded. Each site has a covered table area, fire-pit and lantern hook. The restroom is not far away. There are no full hookup sites in this loop. There is a nice walking trail that wanders through the park. Unfortunately the park has shut down several areas and they are being overtaken by nature. The park hosts follow check-in and check out times so don't arrive early or you will have to wait to get in.

Well spaced sites are gravel and fairly level. Enjoyed the walking trails. Site 44 had a great view of the lake and deer grazing in the evening.

Rocky Creek Park has become one of our favorite parks to go to for a short stay because it is conveniently close to where we live and because the sites are very well maintained and large. I like being able to kayak on the lake and hike the 3 mile trail there. A lot of the sites do not have shade, but they are nice in winter when more sun is appreciated. The hosts have always been so nice and helpful. This park is also close to Somerville Lake State Park where there are more hiking/biking trails.

Very nice park. Little confusion at front gate. Would be nice to have some more trees for cover at the sites.

Very nice stay! Camp Host Tom and his wife went above expectations! They assisted us in many ways. Very well kept camp grounds! Biking and hiking trails are well maintained and really fun! Trails are private and very shady. Great stay!!

The gatehouse staff are very professional and kind. We enjoy the park, it is a beautiful place, but the ladies at the gatehouse are the reason we would go back. Such a joy.

We stayed in the front section. It was quiet and peaceful with a great open view of the lake. Sites were well kept and clean. A great place for relaxation. it rained most of the week we were there - but that's ok... great trip. Lots to do also in nearby College Station and Brenham. Definitely recommend Rocky Creek.
I was very disapointed overall. The staff was very adament that I could not enter the park untill 3 PM even though it was Wed and the site that I had reserved was vacant. I was forced into finding somewhere to spend 5 hours when I could have been safely parked in a vacant campsite. I was also very much disapointed to find that most of this beautiful campground is closed off to the public.
We love camping at Rocky Creek. The camp sites are always clean and and are well maintained. The restrooms are awesome especially the showers. We were there this March 2021, and there were 2 gentlemen working on one of them and they were so nice! I wish I would have gotten their names so I could mention them here. There were a lot of deer and it is a great relaxing camp ground. We loved that the park rangers came around and talked to all of us. They we so nice and made us feel safe.
We enjoyed the large level site with a fantastic view of the lake. We walked 6 miles on the Nature Trails and enjoyed a campfire thanks tho the wood delivery that evening. The camp hosts were super friendly and very informative. Much of the camp was not open after the 'Snowpocalypse' but it will be even better once it all gets sorted out.

Grass needs mowing. Need to do something about sticker burrs. Hard to walk dogs. Also need to try to trap the hogs. They are too close to camping spots.

My only complaint and its minor was the place I wanted to park the RV was closed off. So we had to camp way back up the road. However our spot was quiet and we had the whole area to ourselves. The deer are amazing and it was a perfect weekend.

Very nice clean place. Rocky Creek slope for fishing..area and also the campsite. It would have been more pleasurable if they mowed and may be treated for ants in certain places. None of the campsites were mowed and the grass was up to my knees in some areas

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
