It was Beautiful! The best the park has ever looked. It had been completely mowed. I wish they would keep it that nice during the summer.

Staff is great but beyond me why COE will not take care of Federal parks. We seem to have federal money for everything except taking care of our parks.

Overall we had a good time. The weather did not corporate, the first 3 days is was extremely windy then we had cool fronts moving thru which created lighting and high winds. The park itself was very nice as always. We stayed in #66 the first 3 days and this site has no shade at all. I would like to see the park start planting more trees to help reduce direct sun. Bathrooms were clean. Park staff very friendly as always.

Been a while since we camped here. Used to camp here a lot. Wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the park. They have a history of poor management, like not taking reservations for months and months (maybe over a year) because a crew to do renovation work "could show up any day".One section of the park is closed and is in disrepair, but all of the open facilities were in outstanding shape and park personnel were nothing but friendly. Bathrooms were clean and modern.

If you come into your park with a big trailer like our 43 foot toy hauler there are a few branches that are issues and very tight getting in and out of the dump station other than that we loved it

Facilities were kept up and clean. The overall park has continually declined over the past several years. The volunteers at the front check-in building were present to greet you on the day you arrived and to provide you with a combination lock to the gate for entrance after 10:00 PM. However, once you were checked in, they locked the front gate and left the guard shack. Every time you left the park, you had to unlock and relock the gate no matter what time of day. I found this a little comical due to the fact that there were approximately 10 park hosts spots that were all occupied by people camping for free, but there were no volunteers to be found unless they were expecting a guest at check - in.

Overall camping area in very good condition. Lot 66 is large & flat, no shade if that is something you want. Entry staff very friendly & helpful. Would recommend this area & will camp here again.
