Site was plenty long enough for our 44' fifth wheel plus our large truck. Interior roads were easy to navigate. Loved the view of the lake and listening the birds and the waves. The bathhouse could use some attention as it was full of dead and live flying insects. A visit to the Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham is worth the drive.

The park was fantastic though the top of my RV hit 3 trees. My RV is 13.5 feet high.

Friendly, efficient check-in, spacious sites. But get your dog booties ready! There were so many sticker burrs everywhere that it was a ten minute ordeal to de-burr the dogs' paws, faces, etc. after every walk. Our dogs have longer hair so it was especially bad. The park was pleasant and had some nice trails that we were not able to take advantage of--but next time, we will come with boots for the dogs!

We love this campground. Quiet and peaceful. Fabulous staff and the grounds and facilities are well maintained. Site are mostly level and even though the lake was very low during our stay, its still a lovely and peaceful view from the lakefront sites.

Beautiful park and wonderful weekend! Trails were well kept and restrooms were clean. Overall another great core of engineer experience! Keep it up guys!

Enjoyed the wildlife(dozens of whitetail throughout the park). Bathrooms were clean.

Overall a really nice park. However, Can tell the Corps isn't putting enough funds into campgrounds. Some of the policies regarding check in are a bit draconian and foolish

Very satisfied nice place would have given highest rating if there would be a sign on the highway where you turn in. Sign is not visible until you are passing it from both directions

It’s a beautiful place on the sandy shoreline! Great for long walks and taking in the sunsets.
Just make sure you clean your shoes...

We travel full-time and this is one of the most beautiful parks that I have ever been to. When we arrived, the deer were out by the campers. They would go to the beach to drink. It is wide open with very nice size lots. The views are amazing. When we go back to the area, we will definitely stay here again.
