Beautiful campground, big sites. The problem with this place is the bath/shower house. It's an open/screened gable on the ends and as a result is spider and egg sac infested worse than any place I've seen, and I grew up on a farm. The least they could do is power wash a few times a year, then maybe find a safe for people treatment to keep them at bay somewhat. The same at Yegua creek down the road. Who ever designed these is definitely not a camper. They are disgusting!

Pro: most of the sites are quite large with lake views. Reasonably good roads throughout the park.Con: These are the absolute nastiest bathrooms weve come across in COE parks. In the 5 days we were there, the only bathroom maintenance was adding toilet paper. Garbage was never emptied, sinks and toilets not cleaned and spider webs everywhere. With 8 camp hosts, you would think at least one of them could at minimum take care of the spider webs. With regards to sticker burrs and ants, I tend to think thats because its been so dry and not much the park can do about that.

Beautiful setting, clean restrooms, spacious sites, very well kept grounds, plenty of deer and 15 minutes from all amenities (like Walmart and Starbucks!). Not to mention that the park is reachable within 1 to 1 /2 hours of all the major cities!!! What else do you need?

A beautiful campground even though the bathrooms could use some much needed repairs. The hand driers did not work in the mens or womens bathrooms and there was no soap.

This is our favorite campground on Lake Somerville. Friendly staff, clean, and great views of the lake. We visit here 2-3 a year.

We stay at the park frequently and meet and/or take family members there. Usually we never have a complaint but two things happened this past trip that should be assed on.1) I noticed numerous vehicles driving way too fast. Many of the vehicles were also pulling boats. I'd estimate a couple of the vehicles were driving well over 40 MPH in a 15 MPH zone. There are lost of kids and deer on the same road.2) The group next to us played their music way too loud well past 10 PM and burned so much plastic in their fire pit that we couldn't sit outside. We never saw any type of security or park police to pass this information on to.Thanks.
