Our time at Rocky Creek Park was amazing. The weather was perfect, and the sunrises and sunsets each day were absolutely magical. We also had a daily visit of the most beautifully majestic bald eagle I've seen in a long time!

I was blown away at how clean this whole area was. Granted I came in the winter when only a few were around, but it was still very impressive how often we saw people cleaning the bathrooms. The grounds were immaculate too. I was highly impressed with the hosts who helped me pick a campsite to best fit my needs when I called in. All were incredibly friendly and helpful from check in to check out. I really look forward to coming back as the weather warms up and hope to find it just as enjoyable

They have a beautiful sunset at night. The sites are kept pretty clean but it was very disappointing to have the better sites, with the picnic table cover, closed. The restrooms were not attended to in the tent area. When we got up the second day there was no paper in the stalls. By mid afternoon they still had not cleaned them and replaced the paper. I had to tell the host but he seemed pretty out of it and did finally put some in the restrooms later in the early evening. The beach had too much trash. Not a whole lot but considering the host didn't seem to be doing too much and was pretty young he could have spent his time cleaning up the beach.

Website doesn't disclose boat ramps are closed, water 30' low, not speaking of the fire ants, campsite very small.

I recently went on a camping trip solo with my old dog. We tent camped at site #177. This is a beautiful park on a beautiful lake! Here are some of the pros: friendly couple at check-in/entrance shack, friendly rangers driving around checking on folks, deer everywhere (!), beautiful lake view, well-maintained grounds, good shade trees, trash dumpsters within walking distance, electricity/water hookups worked great, picnic table/fire ring/grill, gorgeous sunsets (!), very quiet at night, cute and clean little beach/swim area to hang out in. The cons for me were: getting to the water from my site was not as direct as it looked on the map, circular bricks with holes on the shore were not dog friendly (not human leg friendly either), bathrooms/showers were closed in our area/circle due to Covid-19. I would ABSOLUTELY return to this park!!
